I think that intervention spurred a mass mod exodus if I'm remembering the events correctly. It's more complicated than this and the mod exodus happened in at least two waves, is my understanding. Most of the mod threads about these topics are archived now so I can't read them, but I've pieced together from speaking to former mods that it was more about other stuff that was happening at the same time. Mod drama occurs in cycles, it is inevitable like the seasons or the tides. Anyway the Hillary toxxes did eventually go through (I was banned for that!).
