Anime starting for real this episode and it's pretty drat great. They toned it down a little bit, but man the slaughter during the initial meeting between the league and Overhaul was incredibly well done

It's a lovely thing, but this whole operation is about more than saving a little girl. Yeah she's scared and obviously being abused. But at the very least she is alive. It would be a different matter if they saw Overhaul splatting a child across the wall and not stopping that because we can't let him catch on. But I felt that this episode did a good enough job of pointing out why they had to let her go. I really liked how quick Mirio is on the uptake, casually flipping Deku's hood over his eyes in order to minimize exposure.

I wish they added some filler at the start of the invasion. Show how they took the guy down the first time. I feel there was plenty of room there. Then they could still have the guy gain a second wind after his drugs kick in and cause them to fall down like usual.

I think they did. The faster pacing was a real help here. The only thing I didn't like was how they did the girls dirty by not expanding on that fight. Their initial encounter should have been more fleshed out. Nighteye's ending was done fantastically though.
