Ive had my Oculus 2 for about a week now and my favorite thing so far is Echo VR arena. The zero g movement is really neat and as for the game itself, its just lots of fun.

Ive played about 10-15 pub games and while im not good I am having a blast. Its so close to being "Battle School" from Enders Game

Pavlovs Shack is fun but the two handed guns seem hard to use but ive only spent about 20 minutes playing

Im tempted to get Climb next.

I don't see the appeal to Demeos, but also ive never gotten a chance to play Dnd either

Isn't the whole point of DnD to use your imagination? why make it look like a board game? And you dont do any of the fighting? you just stand there and punk down cards and stuff?

I will say i would be more inclined to play a D&D kind of game if i did not have to use paper and math and could just jump in w/o having to do homework ahead of time crafting a orangutan mage on my piece of paper

Simple graphics, but you wander a dungeon, encounter slimes and skeletons to battle. It was a hit with the adults and kids, its dark and gloomy but not too scary either. I wasnt ready for my first boss battle and i punched the wall real good, so make space.

I haven't played the demo but how is that supposed to work with the drum sticks? Air drumming with no bounceback, no haptic feedback, and added hand-tracking latency (I know it is slower than controller tracking) sounds miserable.

Im not a "real" drummer but i dont really have an issue with the bounce back not being there. I feel the buzzes in my controllers when i hit the drums.

I feel like im Tommy Lee smashing skins and it feels good to nail a quick run of 1/2's and 1/4ths.Its akin playing guitar hero for the first time. YMMV also you should play the demo

I think I much prefer the Ragnarock style of having stationary drums that you hit when the symbols align.
based on this clip the gameplay looks very similar except you just hit the drums in a line as opposed to a "kit placement" style set up in SmashDrums

General Relativity Space Golf is pretty fun. It can be very puzzling to try and figure out where your shots are supposed to go at first but I still had a good time. As real and grounded as Walkabout feels with putt putt this goes the other direction.

One thing to note, it does not seem to matter how hard you hit the ball, it just will go

Echo VR was my first VR game Ive played and have not stopped since. Im at almost 1600 games.

Its a VR sport that can really kick your rear end likeke basketball and soccer and hockey and Battle School from Enders game all mashed together.. I play probably 2 or 3 games a day if not more but you really do need a largish playspace for it.

The community for the most part are very kind to new players although you do run into some "Ligma N-word" folx on occasion but its easy to mute and report.

I tried Unplugged, the air guitar game. Its ok, not having a physical guitar to move your hand up and down on and strum with just make it very awkward. the guitar stays frozen in place, you can only move the neck around but you have to stay in one place. Since i wasn't sure where where the strings were i was constantly looking down at my right strumming hand and then over to the left to see my guitaring chord fingers and its a big strain on my neck. Also you have to grip the pick to strum, but since there is no force feedback you dont really have a feel for when your strumming correctly.

As far as the music goes, there isnt an auditory indicator that you are "hitting the right notes" like if you missed a note in Guitar hero. you either fail the hand tracking or pass. i did not enjoy it and got a refund

Not as fun as Guitar Hero.

The UI is wonky in places like the crafting room where you grab the wrong items and whatnot. Also 1 in 5 runs you just never get to finish because the sever dies or the host bails
