They won the NCAA championship their first year in the AAC, then slumped from good to mediocre to bad. That has more to do with UConn hiring a bad coach than the AAC, which has gotten way better since that first year. But UConn fans feel better about themselves with the AAC scapegoat. SMU-Houston was better than it should have been. 5 losses in the middle of October though...that’s not a comfortable position and this tank and play young guys for depth idea had better work.
