I love me some Jam but I have zero faith in the general British public. You're going to vote yourself into another Tory/Lib dem minority government and then vote Brexit in another referendum followed by a few more years of "How could this happen!? We are better than this I swear! Third referendum!"

I googled Corbyns house for pictures and found this article. I never heard about it at the time. https://metro.co.uk/2019/04/17/climate-protesters-glue-together-outside-jeremy-corbyns-house-9239600/ XR protestors chained themselves to Corbyns fence and demanded he do more for the environment. I like the comment asking why they didn't chain themselves to Goves fence as both ruling party and minister for the environment.

Okay but can we agree that if say....PM Corbyn cancelled Brexit. His opponents and some supporters would probably condemn him for the rest of his life. But would a parliamentary majority be willing to start up article 50 again? Or would they just be content to be rid of this hot potato?

I can't even blame the Lib Dems (too much) For going full Tory crony. Before the coalition they had some liberal left wing voters and some liberal right wing voters. Their coalition with the Tories demonstrably lost them all the left wing voters. A coalition with Labour would not return any of those voters but would absolutely lose them their remaining liberal right wing voters and probably kill the party. I just wish they wouldn't pay so much lip service to the "rational middle ground" when they are 100% right wing stooges.

Based on how badly Jo Swinson handled that interview I can only assume that she hadn't heard about the chart and assumed that it was put out by the national level Lib Dems instead of a local one. And she thought it was her head on the block. She could easily have dodged responsibility if she just said it wasn't a very good chart and that she's going to talk to them about it. Now she made their local lovely chart her own chart.

The games and winning is almost wholly separated from the much more important business aspect. Sometimes they will throw a game by putting their lowest ranked player against the other teams highest ranked player. Because winning will put them against a team for a match with poor merchandising and ad value or might bind them to a follow up tournament with poor profits. The real good money is in a handful of high ranked players and highly rated coaches. Because you can get rich parents to throw fortunes worth of advertisement deals at the team if their kid is can be a member of that club you can offer the chance to train against a player ranked in the top 20s etc.

I like it a lot more because I get to work 8 to 4 and miss the rush hour and have a nice quiet hour in the morning with no one else around. I had a friend who had this working at an airport. He would show up at at work at midnight and go home at 8 in the morning and maybe did 1 hour of work in that time. You would think that they would crack down on something like that but there were already more than enough functional adults to fill the spots during the regular work day

Parents with dead souls go to work to get a break from family life. Making them spend more time at home is a punishment.

Yeah okay Clapton was on purpose because it's just so dumb for a man who made his whole career covering superior black artists music to also be a massive racist. If I recall his excuse after that speech was that he was pretending to do a Monty Python sketch. Which is apt because Cleese is also a massive racist.

It opened with hand cranked "bars" So the landlord installed a smaller metal/plexiglass door inside the frame with the steel door just permanently open ajar. And then put a lock on the smaller door. I assume that permanently loving with the bigger door would have gotten him into trouble and that the smaller door was probably not very legal either. If someone bothered to enforce anything on landlords.

So I have a bit of an issue with his road safety record. Never encounter your heroes. In school we visited a film studio once. The class spotted reasonable famous actor from various child friendly comedy shows and we ran up to him to say hi. He sneered at us like loving Golum and shouted "gently caress off you little shits!"
