You can't fool me. That's obviously some kind of re-purposed zombie apocalypse preparedness vehicle.

My mother was a paramedic and she would tell me she was going to work to play in the blood, guts, teeth, hair, and eyeballs. Never told me any good stories though. Can confirm "Dead Right there" is a thing. Edit: I did overhear her once telling someone on the phone she had to hose brain matter out of the ambulance (The "unit")

Queen Combat posted:Extensive burns are a LONG, long healing process. You generally start with pig skin (xenograft) as a cover to give the wound bed time to heal and granulate, though the pig skin will all need to be surgically removed. Then you move to cadaver or donated skin (allograft), which (again) can't integrate but is way better than pig skin when it comes to the "not rotting every four days" department. Then you move to an autograft, your own skin, which most burn patients say is many times more painful than the burn itself because harvesting the autograft involves cutting the skin off at that magic point where it's 1: vascular (deep enough to have blood vessels) but 2: not all the way through the thickest nerve layer. So they're cutting right at the actual most possibly painful point to avoid the most damage. Is there some piece of paper I can sign that says "If I end up like that just shoot me full of enough Fentanyl to send me off in a beautiful dream"? Because gently caress that, all of it.

Humphreys posted:Guilty of similar on my first car. I didn't know about a little rubber under the brake pedal perishing was cause for brake lights to be on constantly. So I pulled the fuse and then manually turned on my lights on the stalk everytime I thought it might be a cop behind me to make them think I had brake lights. I was a dumb teen. Toyota uses (or used to use) a little plastic clip to keep the brake light switch pressed and the light off. This bit of plastic broke on the Corolla I had and I replaced it with a 10mm bolt and nut in the brake pedal arm and adjusted the brake switch position so it turned on the light appropriately

Not sure where to post this but my landlord's new tenant in the garage apartment behind our house did this and I think it's a fire hazard. Am I overreacting? That's an incandescent bulb with basically no clearance to the wooden structure being left on all the time. I tried to speak to him about it and he told me to gently caress off.
