In that six month loan he scored a decisive penalty though :smugdon:

Which surpasses Denis Suarez or Dabi Ceballos' contributions so far.

If you're not striving to improve, you'll end up going backwards.
Benayoun was one of those unassuming players that would occasionally score a belter that would make you look up from your paper and go "Huh, poo poo forgot he still played".

Apparently he snubbed Spurs and wanted to come to United, because he supported the club as a kid.

Imagining Mourinho kicking water bottles in frustration is worth £100 000 a week of the Glazers' money.

He did. Under Benitez.

His only memorable thing I remember him doing was in our title push in 08/09 he scored either a winner or equaliser in the last minute against some scrub team to keep us in the hunt

Gervinho did get a transfer agreed upon just before the Qatari transfer window closed, and signed a contract. Unfortunately for him, Al Saad didn't submit the player registration to the federation in time, so he's stuck at Parma now.

Kallstrom has one specific memorable thing because he literally did one single thing at Arsenal and it ended up being very valuable. Benayoun was just a good signing who played well for us and was well-liked. I'm surprised you don't remember that, a lot of people wanted him to stay.

Timo Werner is apparently waiting on an offer from Liverpool.

quote:

After scoring the winner against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League last week, the RB Leipzig forward could not have made it any clearer that he would relish a move to Anfield if an offer came his way.

“I know that Liverpool is the best team at the moment in the world and when you are linked with that team it makes me very proud,” Werner said.

The Athletic understands Werner has already received proposals from Barcelona and Manchester United but is waiting to see whether Liverpool make a move. There is a clause in his contract which means that he can agree a £51 million move away as long as it is negotiated before a deadline in April, which would then give Leipzig longer to make their own plans to replace him for next season.

It was put to The Athletic by a key source this week that if Klopp chooses to go for Werner, who has 28 goals this season, negotiations are most likely to start in the middle of March. That is the month when discussions really got going in previous years on the eye-catching deals that brought in Fabinho and Alisson from Monaco and Roma respectively.
