What's wrong with that? i said the ones when they started experimenting with it, i've never even seen one newer than 2015 but i understand they're a lot better now and it is a good idea on paper/if it works right. the early ones (07 to either 11 or 14 depending who you ask) liked to clog stuff up and create mysterious hard to diagnose vacuum problems and there was an issue where the lifters wouldn't get oil in 4cylinder mode/oil would escape through the cylinders that weren't being used somehow, generally weird vacuum and oil supply issues. stuff like that is one more reason i like dealing with older cars, there are either fixes figured out or you know which ones to avoid. i didn't mean to say anything bad about your truck and i'm glad you like it

RE: dash - My motivation for that second add-on was just going for an overly complicated, NES space simulator night ryder feel with a touch of anime robot touch screen. It can adjust the max amount of amperage the motor will attempt to consume, as well as traction control, creeping mode, max MPH, max kilowatts, and regenerative braking. The driveline is just literally the tesla model S subframe; it has a builtin gear reduction of like 9.something? I'll have to look. Top speed about 135 I think? This car can and will use up to half. a. million. goddamn watts of power when it is under full load. Good thread! I like cars a lot, but I don't have or get as many as I used to. I've never been as much interested in performance as much as in HUGE, comfortable cars. Power is necessary for them, but I need to have the sensation of driving a living-room down the road. For 20 years, I drove Lincoln Town Cars - - and they were not the biggest cars I've owned (and driven daily). As to working on them, I'm happy that someone likes doing it. My dad worked for a car dealership for many years, and we could go in on Employee Nights and work on our cars. I hated every second of it! I'll stick to working on small, clean electronics, and I'll let others do the greasy wrenching! I have co-workers who like to work on cars in their off time, and good for them! Me, I'll let them bust their knuckles all weekend long.
