Yeah Bloomberg, Pete, and to a lesser extent Steyer being in the race for longer helps Bernie out because none of them are viable and they all serve to take votes from Biden.

Warren needs to drop out immediately after IA and NH though and endorse Bernie (no, I know she isn't going to actually do this). Her supporters legitimately will break for Bernie more than the other candidates. The longer she stays in the race the clearer it is that she doesn't actually give a poo poo about enacting a progressive agenda and building a progressive movement.

He has raised approximately 5.5 times more than Biden and it’s characterized as “more than doubled” lmao

It was a good poll result for Bernie that would have certainly led to even MORE support because voters/caucus goers like voting for winners, so they just threw it out.

Why is the DNC so against Bernie? Is it just a $$$ thing? Their corporate sponsors don't like his policy and so they have to follow suit?

It just seems strange that they would rather support someone who has absolutely no chance of winning the general. They did this last time and lost SCOTUS as a result which is utterly galling. Ginsberg isn't going to make it 4 more years. They can't punt again. So why are they doing this? I really just don't understand.

I mean, do they actually think Buttman or Biden could actually win? They can't really believe that, right?

Their material interests ($$$) are threatened by Bernie Sanders and not threatened by Donald Trump.

They might think Bernie has a better chance of winning (then again they are dumb as poo poo so maybe not) but it's immaterial. They care far less about winning than they do about maintaining the status quo and the power structures that are currently in place.

Also typical Ds are not going to sit out because they have spent 4 years #resisting Trump and calling for him to be impeached. Losers like Neera might sit out, but the D base is going to show up for any candidate. The difference is only Bernie will attract young voters, people of color, and other groups that typically don't/can't vote.

Vote Blue No Matter Who is a real thing, and that includes when Bernie is the nominee.

I swear this isn’t a grift. Just as I was refreshing twitter my wife told me there was a dead rat in the basement she needed me to go get. It’s a sign.

From this poll:

quote:

Sanders’ supporters are the most committed as 85% said they will definitely vote for him. Of the other top candidates, 68% of Warren supporters, 66% of Klobuchar supporters, 65% of Biden supporters, and 59% of Buttigieg supporters are committed to their respective candidates.

Bernie has the firmest support and Pete has the softest support among the top 5 polling candidates.

I’m expecting Bernie to keep playing his greatest hits tonight with maybe a few jabs at Bloomberg trying to buy the election. It’s the centrists like Pete and Biden who really need to swing hard at Mike because they are competing for the same low info voter bloc. Who gives a poo poo if she supports eliminating the filibuster if she’s not actually interested in passing progressive legislation and is actively seeking billionaire donors who will certainly help craft her policy platform?

Do you actually think Bernie is values the filibuster more than M4A, GND, etc. if it came to it? If his plan for passing legislation with 50 votes fails do you really think he’ll throw his hands up in the air and say “oh well, I tried!”
