Transistor had a really drat cool first boss and the final boss definitely took some cues from MGS but the rest wasnt nearly as memorable.

Can someone recommend video game podcasts with episodes or series centered around specific video games? I used to listen to Watch out for fireballs but not interested in paying for their episodes. I'd like something to listen to at work (VLPs are bit too hard to follow)

bushisms.txt posted:Nah, rising is one of the shallowest combat system they've produced. Astral chain is the new Queen of character action. That doesn't really mean anything. Just because you can't combo enemies for 10 minutes like in DMC doesn't make the game shallow.

They absolutely nailed the feeling of the sword on sword combat and only Sekiro comes anywhere near close. I loved my job as a city gardener way back. The pay wasn't good since it wasn't a permanent thing but I felt good going to work every morning. In comparison, I'm good at my current job (and I have practically no handlers in the management) but since the work is essentially "you must protect the interests of the company from greedy customers" it's not very satisfying.

Help Im Alive posted:I can't remember if it was the developers or some random goon who said it but I liked the idea that the colour fading as you get shot in Uncharted is just Drake's luck running out until a bullet finally gets him Screw that poo poo. Health bars are still the best and devs that dont use them are the worst. MGSV for example had that annoying film burn effect but thankfully Death Stranding has a health bar and health (blood) packs.
