I liked how it was an obvious failure of strategy since they put all the bigger/taller people on swim duty, which meant short people trying to reach the keys. Poor planning!

That's a good point. I don't understand why they don't have them come back at 9 or something. The finale is absurd, even though I would laugh forever if she convinced them to take out Sarah and Tony and won the game. e: Gotcha, thanks.

One of my favorite things about last night were both of Michele's reads: (1) to Nick, yes Jeremy is a jury threat, but how the gently caress are you getting to the end now? (2) to Sarah, you know Tony is going to beat you right? This isn't a situation where you are thinking it's unfair to judge the players too harshly because the audience has so much more information, etc. At least one of the players sees it too! I'd love to know what Ben thought the result of a final three with him, Sarah, and Tony would be.

I love Tyson. Also I thought the portion where Natalie sent the cops to fire was really weird. She said something about breaking up the pair, and whether that was good strategy aside, it was definitely the result of her choice. Then Sarah started to pretend cough her water for some reason? Sarah sucks I guess is my point.

It's actually astonishing that everyone let Tony and Sarah go so far as a pair anyway. I wouldn't expect anything from Ben so I'm not surprised he sort of glommed on to them, but pretty disappointing out of Denise and Nick (and those who went before). Jeremy must have figured he could beat anyone so whatever. I've come around to Natalie blowing her two chances, which is too bad. She needed to take the chance of using the idol on Michele (oops Tony was immune, still should have done it to boot Sarah) or making fire against Tony. Like, he has the tight social bond with two people he could never beat, he protects them and ends up sacrificing himself for one of them, but then he also spends the rest of his time giving Jeremy the silent treatment, yelling at Adam, and being basically unlikable to everyone else. It's like the ultimate antisocial social game. I love this take of his selfless act actually costing Sarah the game too (they vote out Michele, Ben beats Tony in fire, Sarah beats Ben and Natalie in FTC)!

Honestly that focus really isn't that interesting to me. I'll certainly give it a shot, and hopefully it's great, but I didn't generally have a problem with the core gameplay of most of the seasons in the 30s. Some sucked and some were good, but I don't need a huge overhaul of the show.
