Here in New Zealand we have a bunch of American ones but also we have

Hell Pizza. It’s better than dominos/Pizza Hut but still franchise delivery spec poo poo. They do one with chicken and pine nuts and apricot sauce that’s pretty good and also you can get corn nuggets, which are deep fried creamed corn

Gas station pies. Meat pies. I don’t like them but heaps of people do.

In Wellington you can get some dodgy food court Chinese food at like 4am from J&M and they will put that bright red sweet and sour sauce on your chips (fries) if you want

At subway there’s carrots and beetroot. McDonald’s also has a burger with beetroot and egg on it.

I kinda miss Oporto from Australia but it’s pretty poo poo really when u think about it. Basically knock-off nando’s.

if you ask any Norwegian what classic, non-burger fast food looks like, you're probably going to get one of two answers: wiener würstchen/frankfurter würstl (what you yanks call hot dogs are literally named grill sausages over here but they rank high too) and kebabs

the first is most typically downed at children's birthday parties, when you commute by train and need something to keep you afloat 'till dinnertime and on our national holiday.

the latter is most typically eaten by white people when extremely drunk after a night out on fridays and saturdays, because historically kebab joints were the only places open after 3 o clock at night

here's our queen gorging down a long, soggy one in full folk costume, there's cruder jokes to be made about this but I'm not one to make them

if you're unlucky enough to be around us during some wintersports (typically cross country skiing) you'll see a whole lot of steel vacuum flasks around, and you might think "cocoa and and coffee, that's a cozy way to stay warm and hydrated" but nope, more than half of those will be filled with wienerpølser
