Yeah I had a fun couple of salvaging runs too. It felt good to have a bit of game knowledge and be like "see this here hull plate ain't no ordinary hull plate, it's made got a ton of (whatever the highest tier of material was) in it" and nick it by nailing it to the top of your ship before some other rear end in a top hat showed up to shoot you

I reinstalled this game to do some chill mining runs. I even got the heat sink cube installed onto my Aphelios so my generator doesn't overheat. What ships are worth farming for?

I remember there was this one goon's designed boxminer ship that was universally agreed to be good. I don't remember if they designed it before the coolant revamp though. What TZ are you?
