so... the moderates want warren to stay in, yeah? yesterday and today, all of warren/biden/butt are pushing the "i'm in it for the long haul" message to make it clear that the brokered convention strategy is still alive. but warren's funding has taken a huge hit, hasn't it? and warren's recently made those bizarre  arguments about how she's the Candidate Most Pure in regard to dark money. (of note: warren used that opportunity to praise klobuchar for the same thing) i wonder if warren's campaign actually has a plan. because that sounds like the opposite of a plan.tbh i'm startin to feel the "right now Warren is only thinking about pitching herself as VP to Klob or Butt" theory Warren stays in the race, sometimes missing viability, sometimes hitting good ~20% results in her better states. This keeps Warren relevant in the news and gives her a good rhetorical answer for why she's still in it. Warren staying in the race only increases the chances of a brokered convention, which the moderates are hoping for. Warren then gets the chance to wait and see regarding which moderate horse she should back. Buttigieg/Warren or Klobuchar/Warren will be pushed as the "unity" choice. (or Bloomberg/Warren, but I really don't think Bloomberg is going to win many actual votes from the Butt/Klob crowd... or from anyone else, for that matter) just one way it might play out. not the way i hope for, and 6 months ago it is not what i would have expected out of Warren. but that was then. i hope i'm wrong. thanx for reading, don't forget to like and subscribe

At that time, they were owned by Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta who own the Station chain of casinos. They contract out their culinary workers and no one at their properties is a union worker. The CWU tried to use the NY laws as a cudgel to open the Fertitta casinos to the union. Frank and Lorenzo sold the UFC to WME-IMG a few years ago and this was mooted, so MMA is now legal in NY. lol this post reminded me rosie odonnel's brother is (was?) a ny state lawmaker and talked about getting horned up on the floor when the mma legalization debate was happening

I got incredibly lucky a bunch of times throughout my life, especially with how my career has moved in the past 7 years or so, my main skill seems to be in making people think I know what the gently caress I'm doing (I don't lol). Considering how the last decade of my dad's life went, I identify more with someone who works as a line cook than a lawyer. I have savings but like my ability to draw a salary is largely dependent on someone else not doing something incredibly dumb that results in me being laid off. My livelihood is at the whim of some coked out mook deciding if I make them more money than I cost, so I'm in the same boat as the janitor (who I could probably teach to do what I do), no executive is going to give a gently caress if I get hit by a bus tomorrow.

They're the most alienated class in a capitalist society, and every bit as atomized as the proletariat, *BUT* their class interests do not align because PMC don't labor in a socially necessary fashion. This goes back to Marx trying to define value and it coming from labor, but digging a ditch no one needs has no value. You can replace PMC with 'white collar middle management bourgeois and consulting class' if you want.
