I just listened to this interesting interview with Jane Mayer, an investigative journalist who covers corruption in American politics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHuAySPFAdU According to her, Donald Trump may be an anti-globalist, but he's so ineffectual, so inexperienced in politics, and ultimately so self-centered, that his beliefs are irrelevant. Mike Pence is the guy who is really setting the agenda behind the scenes, managing appointments and so forth, and Pence is in the pockets of right-wing billionaires, particularly the Koch brothers. The Kochs and their peers want more power for themselves, and they are ultimately globalists because they need globalism to make their billions. But they couldn't get enough votes to have their way because their globalist agenda is too unpopular with the public. So they formed a coalition with populists like Donald Trump, simply to get enough votes to push the policy reforms they want. Because they control Pence and McConnell, and because Trump supporters have blind faith that Trump is serving their interests (just visit thedonald.win, it's astonishing), they are the real puppetmasters.

Doesn't really matter who runs it, we should kick all of them out anyway.
