I suspect if we really wanted to get an understanding of people's political alignments it would be better to know what orgs they affiliate with, what work have they done, than their online opinions.

What's the point of calling yourself a socialist if you're not contributing to the cause of socialism?

E: this isn't about grandstanding, it's a deeper philosophical problem.

I'm also an Eco-Marxist it seems:

At 90.6% and 89.9% I had Orthodox Marxism and Democratic Socialist, which seems contradictory?

I agree with the results mostly, though I'm unclear what the difference between a Party v Union is.

Is there one of these for the right, because now I'm just curious what results it would spit out.

A Centrist Marxist is a term that dates back to the immediate aftermath of the October Revolution & the arguments within the left-wing movements & basically refers to equivocating between (or in a more generous read, being open to) electoral reformism & revolution as your paths to socialism, with examples like the short lived USPD in Germany, POUM in Spain & the Independent Labour Party in the UK.

As for your other question, that can honestly describe anything from anarchism to straight up liberalism.

Another centrist Marxist. Basically I want to replace capitalism with a democratically planned economy but I wouldn't say I know enough theory or have enough practice to have a set opinion of how best to get there. I'm open to ML or demsoc or anarchist positions.

Other ones in the 90s are Orthodox Marxism, Left-Wing Nationalism, Council Communism, and Eco-Marxism.

I have participated in the DSA and volunteered+donated to the Bernie campaign.

Hello, yes! Is being very good day for posting, no?
I got Social Democrat, which I think by the standards of the test makes me worthless trash :v:.

A lot of the questions were for things I just didn’t have much reference for, or hadn’t given a lot of thought. Definitely a good education in the distinction between being generally left vs being a “proper” leftist. But given how badly my mental state tends to do when I let politics occupy a lot of my brain, that’s about where it’s going to stay for me.
