One thing that I noticed this weekend was the fact that boomers are still out there drinking their Starbucks at the grocery store, walking side by side with their counterparts, effectively blocking the aisles. What's really weird is the number of people who give me a side eye for wearing my face shield. I can safely say I've never seen anyone else wear one, and maybe it's a little overkil, but it keeps me from touching my goddamned face out in public.

In a way I sorta miss that palpable tension of the first week, because at least then it felt like people were taking it somewhat seriously.
