I've followed his work for a while and traveled to see his Floating Piers and London Mastaba installations in person. He had been slowly inching forward on a project over a slice of the Colorado River that he walked away from in protest of this administration. It looks like his last installation - wrapping the Arc de Triomphe - will still take place later this year.

Our people are buying it too. I'm getting texts from family to warm me of a fake rear end post threatening to loot my side of town. I'm now hearing all the pickups and bikes blasting around. I'm trying to pretend that tomorrow just trash day, make sure to put the cans out tonight.

I was never a superfan but I would always check out his work if I was in the neighborhood or follow it with pictures if it was something too far away.
