This is so much fun, it's really nice to see websites that aren't behind a shitton of ads and requests to install cookies and are actually written by a person with cool and useful information. I'm making a site to put my lovely collection of recipes on. and it's just soluch a joy to make a page without loving WordPress trying to get up in my grill.

Hell yes a webring! I'm having fun with my first HTML. Mr Ralph is giving me a hand but for the most part I'm sorting it out myself. My next step to figure out how to make seperate pages.

I went to sign up for this and realised I did it six years ago with another forum lol. Gave it a little spritz and walla! https://fieldbalm.neocities.org. Made sure it is viewable at God's own resolution, aka 640x480. Definitely keen for a somethingawul webring. Also excited to try your recipes, whybird! Anyone know the css to make the sidebar the same length as the content lol?

I updated my site with a bunch of new stuff, fixed all the formatting, made things look nice, added videos to the website with a classic style video player, and we're off! I've tried to follow just about everyone who's posted itt so far. I'm updating a lot too. Later today I'm going to add a page about paranormal stuff. I remember back in the olde days of dial up when I like 12 or 13 and online for the first time. There were all these cool fansites for the X-Files and Star Wars and I wanted to make one too but I didn't know anyone who could show me how or point in the right direction. I was the computer wiz in my house because I figured out what the shift key did. If only they had taught us this stuff in school, maybe I'd have a good job now as opposed to having a useless degree in the humanities. But it's never too late to learn!

Ohmygod I need to make a site, I love what you all are putting out! I just spent an hour just browsing random sites and got a fun tingle when I realised I have to use the bookmark function on my browser to save the ones I like, instead of giving that function over to some social media app that steals that info to try and sell some useless garbage to me. Facebook is a dying poo poo media, web sites are the future.

Unbalanced tags weren't acceptable even in the 90s  Get one of those buttons that says your page is valid W3C HTML and links to a validator, they're really 1337.
