That's how they see themselves, that's how they're trained, that's how they operate, and any attempt at oversight is seen as enemy action to be violently suppressed. The police in my area have at least one cop car in camouflage:  It's supposed to be "to honor the troops" or some poo poo but yeah we all know the real reason.

A larger group wants to pay lip service to police reform but thinks the only way to do that is to give them more money?  And a really large group of people (chuds) think the cops aren't going far enough with their bloodlust.
