Hi I have been reading the thread and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been supportive of me itt This whole thing has brought up some old bad stuff for me which isn't great but I'm ok. Goons are great and I care about the community very much. I hope to continue to see you all in the future no matter where we all end up.

HOWEVER there was a separate list made by me and 2 other mods who specifically went through fyad and read threads personally and made copies of posts we saw that were racist, transphobic or otherwise harmful and worthy of mod actions. We wanted to take things on a case by case basis and put a lot of work and thought into it. I was going through a lot of personal poo poo at the time (sick for weeks, afraid of being homeless and overworking myself) and while I have made some public and personal apologies after the fact but as you'll see in the thread, while I didn't hate the idea of fyad or having a space to experiment with subversive humor, but "ironic" bigotry is still bigotry and posts targeting minority users in abusive or harmful ways shouldn't be tolerated and I stand by that. For what it's worth I have always tried to engage in good faith and if you have concerns or questions please feel free to pm me.

I remember mods having a a pretty firm consensus on that one and I hope I stressed that There was so much going on at the time and I honestly can't be sure. I'm positive in hindsight I let some poo poo fall through the cracks and I apologise for that but I did try my best and if that wasn't satisfactory I am sorry.
