It seems a lot of the support networks in the US are at the state level. If anyone wants to compile links per state and/or international support groups feel free. I may attempt the task myself as time permits and if I am able depending on my status as a free person.

These guys do good work in the Pacific Islander/Asian community in California, especially those who have a hard time seeking help due to language barriers: https://www.my-sisters-house.org These guys are in Puerto Rico and were really busy during the earthquakes and hurricanes, which exacerbated incidents of abuse. They also run projects like helping document murders against trans women, which often get neglected by PR authorities: https://www.proyectomatria.org/ Both are vetted to be data-driven and have no underlying religious agenda. Some more links for German goons and lurkers: Homepage of the ministry for family, seniors, women and youths: https://www.bmfsfj.de/bmfsfj/themen/gleichstellung/frauen-vor-gewalt-schuetzen/haeusliche-gewalt/haeusliche-gewalt/80642 You'll find a lot of resources here. From statistics and texts of law over brochures and flyers to links to external support and help organisations. If you're based in Berlin and experiencing domestic violence, you'll find help here: https://www.big-berlin.info/ Lots of resources, information and support options here: https://www.re-empowerment.de/ If you're not sure if you are experiencing violence in your marriage/relationship, check it out. It's only available in German (afaik), but it really helps to open your eyes if you're caught in a violent relationship withour realizing it. Of course, there's always the Hilfetelefon: https://www.hilfetelefon.de/ Available in German, French, English, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, sign language and easy language. Apparantly, their phone line offers consultation in 17 languages. If you're to shy to phone, they offer chats and e-mail as contact options. Now, most of these online resources concentrate on women as victims of domestic abuse and are specialized in helping women. Finding help is so much harder if you're a male victim of violence. However, check out this site: https://staerker-als-gewalt.de/ Stronger than violence offers quite a lot of resources and information for male victims of domestic violence. Finally, as someone who has worked with victims of domestiv abuse in the past (indeed I still have one client who suffers frequent abuse from her boyfriend), I've got a few things to say that every victim needs to hear and understand before they are able to accept help: No, that's not love. No, that's not normal. No, that's not your fault. No, he/she will not change. No, you're not alone. No, you don't have to suffer this. Yes, there is help. Yes, things will start to become better when you accept external help.

I'm not sure if it's the same in other states, but dialing 311 in Texas can provide many resources for individuals in crisis situations (if there isn't an immediate need to call 911). Texas has some good resources for child and elder abuse that can be found here: https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/contact_us/report_abuse.asp Children and other vulnerable populations are often caught in the middle of domestic violence which can result in physical injuries due to attempted intervention. The cycle of intergenerational abuse and emotion abuse that goes hand in hand with domestic violence can also scar a child for life. It's times like these where everyone is stuck at home with abusers that there is a silent uptick in incidents.
