Here it is, a thread to talk about Everest, and the summit attempts thereof. Everest has a history of being attempted by folks who do not belong there, and pay a severe price for going. See the previous thread for a particularly harsh discussion of that reality. The tail end of that thread had moved away from that earlier tone, and I'm happy for that discussion to continue on here.
