It was some animated show and I remember the animals died in very shocking ways that would have very likely traumatized me as a child. The highlight was some bird grabbing a talking mouse or something and then impaling it with bloodied, thorny branches. Searching this on bing and youtube has resulted in no results. I hope you well adjusted, media savvy goons know what im talking about my friends dont think im nuts and making this up. Thanks!

I think it was just called The Roadrunner and Coyote Show, OP I agree though, seeing a wild coyote getting crushed by an anvil is pretty shocking and not okay

I have shrikes around my home town, they are hilarious. Had a really big religious guy mow his backyard lot one day and found a bunch of reptiles and smaller animals impaled and he thought his children were doing satanic rituals.

So, the animals in this can talk and communicate like humans, but they still kill and devour each other? That's heavy for a children's cartoon...

I don't know if they cut some of the darker stuff out but that show was just on TV here like after Sesame Street for a decade or more.

i don't remember being overly distressed by it. it was darker than most, but its not like other kids' stuff didn't have similar tones. they're not serialized, but look at parts of bambi or the lion king. this is the sort of thing that traumatized me: Struwwelpeter, a series of horror stories intended to scare children into behaving, including one where a boy gets his thumbs cut off with giant scissors for sucking on them
