I gotta say, once you get about a quarter into the novel and have your grounding with all the major characters and a sense for the timeline, it's not actually that difficult, just long. Like it disorients you at first because it's not telling you who key characters are or certain plot points but by the time you're around 250-300 pages in it's actually pretty straightforward. That said, lol DFW had no literally idea to end it and it's maybe the biggest slap in the face to say, well it's infinite entertainment.
