Rules are: 1) no more than 4 tracks per song 2) Set a timer for one hour and whatever you have, stop at 60 minutes. 3) post

I am feeling nostalgic. This is the game I will be playing, anybody else feel free to jump in. Would love to just have fun.

I'm editing this post to say that most of the tracks presented here (now 4) are all under 60 seconds. I think that's a pretty good standard.

anyway that was done in 45 minutes. Just a guitar playing a something repetitive, a guitar droning on a harmonic, voice, and tapping a spoon. With reverbs, and eq changes, pitch shift on the spoon. That's about it, easy peasy.
not sure the best way to share. clyp.it seems small and fast, youtube seems like a lot of work.

It doesn't matter if it's bad or good, the point is to have fun, while also get in the habit of making lots of demos.

I'm game. https://clyp.it/0k1pezp0

Came in just under an hour, and it was hard to stop myself. Three synths (Behringer's TB-303 clone; Novation Peak on pads; Deluge on arp), and a drum machine (also Deluge, playing samples from a TR-808).

I dig it. You said that's a guitar playing what sounds like a chime? How do you get that sound from a guitar? I don't know anything about guitars.

Sweet, we are going to have fun. I am on the mobile at work so I will wait until I get home to listen properly. I play synths too and am down with the 303 and all the cool gear.
The guitar you asked about was just an acoustic recorded poorly through the macbook built in mic. I crushed the bits on all my tracks using Plogue chipcrusher to make it....l o f i

I listened to your jam on the way home in my truck. I just thought wow that sounds so good lol. No really the way we record these days I'm still pretty amazed we can do stuff like that. I think the 1 minute was a good time length because that's about the average persons attention span.

I tried to make this thing, and I was running out of time. People kept calling me, emailing me trying to get me to sign papers and do work even though I was at home. I tried the synths at first then just grabbed the guitar and put crazy effects (modeled a Speak n Spell speaker).

I'm pretty happy with this. It was fun making, wasn't really sure what to do because I don't know the software/DAW, or any of that well. Plus I haven't done much with my midi controller in action. We'll see, I'll probably buy renoise in time. I'm glad I have this song because it is memorable,

I need to play more emotional songs from now on. Since I have a very good relationship with my guitar, we can read our feelings pretty good together. Anyway, that was fun I'm happy now.

Messing around with a Beatstep Pro, with it controlling an Uno (set to a preset I found online) and a Volca Bass. I'm playing a Microkorg (playing one of Cuckoo's presets) and a Minibrute 2.

Feelin' it so hard.

Not really a musician but I remembered this thread and I made this little John Carpenteresque thing tonight. Then I drove around the block to make a video for it. Song took an hour and shooting + editing the video probably took around the same.

3 tracks.

Bass and a couple synth VSTs in Reaper.
