dark matter apparently had sufficient audience to continue, it got canceled because there was split ownership between two production companies and scifi didn't like that it didn't get really stupid until the very end [SPACE JAPAN!]

Anyone picked up on SUGAR on """AppleTV"""..? I'm 3 episodes in, the 4th has just dropped and its and 8ep season - Colin Farrell (looking very handsome in a good suit) is a movie-loving Private Eye who is skilled at finding people, but he doesn't have a 'Taken' very particular set of skills, he is just amazing at everything; in fact, he's such a op Mary Sue that I'm waiting for the shoe to drop, and the vibes in each episode have been getting more 'so what the gently caress is this guy's deal?' The actual 'Missing Girl' mystery I'm kinda invested in, but the weird backstory has me desperate to know more. Episodes are only a half-hour each (apart from the season opener which is 45mins), and the art direction of the show is also top-notch, but then I'm a sucker for handheld and small-camera setups.
