Negative Traits: None
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 95.5 (94), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Developmental wrestler Nick Nagata was a top prospect before being given a very crass mental disability gimmick and also being put into shootfights where he was expected to keep gimmick. As you would expect, pretending to have a mental disability while getting kneed in the head by Croatians who love steroids was not good for buyrates. Now, with his reputation ruined and a 0-5 MMA record, he's taking on the independent scene with a vengeance! He's spent years training for MMA, and now he's turning that skillset on the unsuspecting pro wrestlers of the world!

Name: Faarooq Mahal Jr. (played by Do not even ask)

Condition--Current (Projected): Head 100 (99.6), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Running under a pseudonym, this wrestler is completely secretive about his identity and residence. Due to his secrecy no one can confirm any of his tall tales like his claim that one time during his daily workout routine of swimming in Lake Erie's polluted waters he had wrestled an entire school of mutated giant trout into complete submission using his grappling superpowers that he received from swimming in said polluted lake. Ludicrous brags aside, FMJ seeks to prove the superiority of submission wrestling over all other styles in RRW.

Name: Hailey Carmichael (Played by Senerio)

Signatures: VSCOverleaf {Inverted Cloverleaf} (H 60, F 0)

Condition--Current (Projected): Head 97.64 (97.54), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (99.8), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: The only daughter of Duke Charles Carmichael III of Clarence, Hailey has never wanted for anything. One day, she came across a sign offering wrestling lessons, and decided to take it up. Surprisingly, she found out that she was good at it and enjoyed it! Now a rising star, Hailey has come to take over RRW.

w/
Name: Hans Nitschke (played by sk)
Size: Heavyweight
Manager: Hijo del Cadaver
Signatures: Invasive Procedure {sliding lariat to opponent in tree of woe} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Euthanasia Driver {sit-out tombstone piledriver} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 452, SPR 300, STRE 171, STRI 229, GRAP 143, GROU 86, SPED 143, STAM 171, ATHL 143, MGRO 114
XP Available: 6471 (Points Available: 328)
Positive Traits: Steel Skull, Raging Bull, Rule Bender (Lv 2)
Negative Traits: Boring!
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 99.96 (98.76), Body 100 (99.775), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: As a child Hans Nitschke dreamed of becoming a doctor in his home country of Germany. This dream, sadly, was brought to an end by a terrible medical accident during his residency (which for ongoing legal reasons can't be described here). Nitschke was not discouraged though--given his imposing stature and intimate knowledge of anatomy, he felt himself a perfect fit for the world of professional wrestling playing the role of an unhinged surgeon. His stiff and reckless wrestling style has led to rumors that he collects a commission from the ambulance company backstage for each...referred customer. He is also notorious for keeping kayfabe, to the point that he won't use his fluent English in front of fans, so we may never know if there is any truth to those rumors.

Name: Jack Braddock (Played by projecthalaxy)
Size: Light Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Spinning Backfist (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Jack Attack {boxing body blow rush, ending with uppercut} (H 27, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 505, SPR 411, STRE 202, STRI 646, GRAP 200, GROU 50, SPED 50, STAM 505, ATHL 100, MGRO 50
XP Available: 984 (Points Available: 24)
Positive Traits: Cardio Freak, Respected Brawler (Lv 2), Hands of Stone (Lv 2), Alert Partner (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Matchstick Legs
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 98.02 (97.78), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: No flips, just fists. Jack is a scrappy young brawler from Queens, NY, who for has chosen to follow the tenets of the Sweet Science, as understood at the turn of the last century. Steaks, lifting giant barbells, and running 15 miles a day through the avenues and parks of the Big Apple power this striking sensation.

OTHER ENTRANTS

Name: Angela Wassermann
Size: Small
Manager: None
Signatures: Superman Punch (H 60, F 0)
Finishers: Cross Arm Breaker (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 427, SPR 300, STRE 89, STRI 360, GRAP 340, GROU 383, SPED 58, STAM 100, ATHL 160, MGRO 0
XP Available: 620 (Points Available: 31)
Positive Traits: Respected Brawler (Lv 2, 3 TP), Hands of Stone (Lv 1), All Business (Lv 1), No Surrender
Negative Traits: Fish Out of Water (Lv 1), Boring!
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 94.9 (93.1), Body 100 (99.75), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Angela Wasserman was, at one point, the women's flyweight champion in a regional MMA promotion in Germany, racking up a career record of fourteen wins (eight by knockout, three by submission) and three losses. After losing the title in her final MMA bout, Angela decided to turn to wrestling, based on the prior successes of those like Ken Shamrock. While women's MMA is still gaining acceptance in the sports world, Angela looks to show RRW (and indeed, the rest of the world) that she can hang with the very best out there despite often being the smallest person in the fight.

Name: Billy Norris
Size: Cruiserweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Boomerang DDT {Floatover DDT} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Down Under Disaster {Slingshot Roundhouse Kick} (H 30, F 95)
Attributes: OVR 512, SPR 340, STRE 96, STRI 200, GRAP 141, GROU 147, SPED 460, STAM 220, ATHL 420, MGRO 50
XP Available: 980 (Points Available: 39)
Positive Traits: Cardio Freak (Lv 1), Flyboy (Lv 1), Suicidal (Lv 1), Bullet Time (Lv 1), Radar Sense (Lv 1), Agile Climber
Negative Traits: Flabby Belly (Lv 1), Puny Human (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 98.9 (98.72), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Unlike his fellow RRW-bound Aussie, Billy Norris makes no claims to be the best wrestler in Australia. A seasoned veteran who has yet to win a major title (or even to break into the mainstream wrestling realm), Norris signed with RRW when he heard that Elyssa Anderson had brokered a deal with the promotion. In his mind, someone needs to knock the chip off of Elyssa’s shoulder, so it may as well be a fellow Aussie to do it. If he gets some attention from the major promotions while doing it, so much the better.

w/
Name: Blood River
Size: Middleweight
Manager: The Acolyte
Signatures: The Sacrifice {swinging rope blast} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: The Offering {top rope rana pinfall} (H 30, F 85), Crimson Regret (top rope legdrop) (H 26, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 488, SPR 318, STRE 106, STRI 250, GRAP 112, GROU 112, SPED 420, STAM 228, ATHL 385, MGRO 50
XP Available: 587 (Points Available: 23)
Positive Traits: Flyboy (Lv 1), Suicidal (Lv 1), Anarchist (Lv 1), Air Force (Lv 1), Slippery Customer (Lv 1), Daredevil (Lv 1), Agile Climber, Creeping Movement
Negative Traits: Crimson Mask (Lv 1); Suicidal, Homicidal (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 97.56 (96.78), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Blood River, who is rumored to be living his wrestling gimmick as a cultist, is a six-year veteran of the ring and has an eclectic style of offense. Always accompanying him to the ring is The Acolyte, who is supposed to be one of his completely inept underlings in whatever cult he claims to be a part of—it’s never really been specified in an interview. Some say he’s the herald of the third coming of Yzgtx’fl, and if you can pronounce that you’re a better person than most. Regardless of the rumors, though, River’s “devil-may-care” style of offense may be the one thing that propels him into an RRW Championship.

Name: Brandy McDonald
Size: Small
Manager: None
Signatures: Hang Over {top rope somersault leg drop} (H 45, F 10)
Finishers: Brandy With a Twist {twisting face crusher} (H 27, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 499, SPR 366, STRE 120, STRI 245, GRAP 302, GROU 205, SPED 230, STAM 252, ATHL 410, MGRO 50
XP Available: 636 (Points Available: 15)
Positive Traits: Cardio Freak (Lv 1), Showman (Lv 1), Ultra Charismatic, Entertainer (Lv 1), Real Fast Starter
Negative Traits: Crimson Mask (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 98.28 (97.88), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Brandy McDonald got her start working as a valet for a small promotion in southern California, which she was planning to use as a stepping stone on her path to Hollywood stardom. Along the way, something changed all that. Finding more psychology in putting forward a good-appearing match than the preparation she would have to do for most starring roles in Hollywood, Brandy traveled to the east coast to train at a school known for emphasizing ring psychology. While not as technically skilled as some into the business, her natural charisma and athleticism opened the door for her in several well-known indie promotions, where her skill continued to improve. Now entering her sixth year of competition inside the squared circle, Brandy comes to RRW with Hollywood firmly in her rear view mirror, and her eyes set firmly on becoming champion.

Name: Brian Blackfield
Size: Middleweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Tartan Effect {falling facebreaker to knee} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Scotland Destroyer {destroyer flip piledriver} (H 28, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 523, SPR 327, STRE 186, STRI 153, GRAP 596, GROU 233, SPED 120, STAM 299, ATHL 180, MGRO 50
XP Available: 941 (Points Available: 23)
Positive Traits: Tough as Nails (Lv 1), Impact Player (Lv 1), Adrenaline (Shaking)
Negative Traits: None
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 91.9 (91.6), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Brian Blackfield, RRW’s first Scottish signee, is a fairly well-respected figure in the UK indie scene. Despite not being as athletic as most, he is well-known for his flip piledriver finisher, which someone of his limited athleticism should never be able to pull off. A well-balanced wrestler aside from that, RRW took a chance in signing him to a contract, hoping that his all-around skills would continue to improve and possibly bring in additional viewership from the UK.

Name: Daniel Simmons
Size: Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Working Man's Dropkick {top rope missile dropkick} (H 45, F 10)
Finishers: Blue Collar Driver {bodyslam driver} (H 20, F 85), Quitting Time {ankle lock} (H 20, F 87)
Attributes: OVR 499, SPR 309, STRE 360, STRI 400, GRAP 210, GROU 125, SPED 140, STAM 275, ATHL 200, MGRO 50
XP Available: 668 (Points Available: 26)
Positive Traits: Educated Feet (Lv 1), Impact Player (Lv 1), Menace to Furniture (Lv 1), Heavy Load
Negative Traits: None
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 96.7 (95.1), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Daniel Simmons is the epitome of the everyman’s wrestler. A construction worker when he’s not in the ring, Daniel’s looks and blue-collar attitude have made him a hit with audiences whenever he performs on the indie circuit. After RRW signed Erick Gibson to a contract, they immediately sought out Simmons to be the foil to Gibson’s “horrible boss” gimmick. Simmons signed a contract—although he has gone on record to state that it was not because of the gimmick clashes that people may have wanted—and now waits for RRW to start up again so he can bring his blue-collar roots and attitude to a worldwide audience.

Name: Devil's Delight
Size: Small
Manager: Devil's Angel
Signatures: Hellborne Rising {enzuigiri to shoulder} (H 46, F 11)
Finishers: Purgatory's End {reverse armbar/"Disarmher"} (H 26, F 86)
Attributes: OVR 405, SPR 300, STRE 65, STRI 230, GRAP 230, GROU 96, SPED 151, STAM 120, ATHL 120, MGRO 400
XP Available: 263 (Points Available: 13)
Positive Traits: Educated Feet (Lv 1), Submission Specialist (Lv 1), Feet of Fire (Lv 1), Ultra Charismatic, Confidence Builder
Negative Traits: Gasses Easily (Lv 1), Crimson Mask (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 92.46 (90.59), Body 99.425 (99.375), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Originally "property" of the Hell's Maurauders motorcycle gang, Jessica Solomon was pushed into pro wrestling to both make money for the gang and to attempt to draw more recruits due to her looks. When the gang was arrested en masse for drug and sex trafficking in 2012, she and her older sister Rebecca suddenly found themselves free for the first time in years. A two-year stint in rehab to get clean of the drugs they were forced to take later--though the drug use over the years had taken their toll on their bodies--both sisters attempted to resurrect their careers on the indy circuit. Forgoing her previous in-ring name, which she refuses to acknowledge, she re-christened herself as Devil's Delight and was signed by RRW for their second season, easily the biggest chance to revive her career since returning to the ring.

Condition--Current (Projected): Head 95.8 (95), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Standing just under six feet tall and weighing more than most male wrestlers, Desir'ee Mitchell was a force to be reckoned with as the perennial All-Star nose tackle for the WIPF's (Women's Indoor Pro Football) Atlanta Storm. When the league folded in 2012, she was approached by several major wrestling promoters, and signed a short-term deal with a joshi company in Japan. Booked as a nigh-unstoppable force, she was given the name "Diamond Steel" and it has stuck with her even after leaving that promotion in early 2014. Using her size to her advantage in the ring, her style is one-dimensional but still effective.

Name: El Tornado
Size: Small
Manager: None
Signatures: Super Twister {multiple rotation spinning head scissors} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Tornado Splash {sky twister press} (H 27, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 469, SPR 318, STRE 133, STRI 196, GRAP 207, GROU 50, SPED 434, STAM 170, ATHL 512, MGRO 50
XP Available: 1106 (Points Available: 44)
Positive Traits: Shin Guard, Flyboy (Lv 3), Daredevil (Lv 1), Agile Climber
Negative Traits: Flabby Belly, Real Late Starter, Martyr Complex
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 91.52 (90.22), Body 98.805 (98.155), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: A young talent who took the lucha libre world by storm (pun intended), El Tornado was rumored to be in a bidding war between several major promotions in Mexico. He surprised everyone, though, when he elected to take a chance and sign with RRW. Many feel that his size may be an issue in a promotion filled with men nearly double his size, but El Tornado quite simply tells his critics the same thing many trainers tell their charges: “everyone’s the same size when they’re on the mat.” A natural-born flier, Tornado seems more at ease in the air, and his Tornado Splash finisher is a marvel to behold in person.

Name: Elyssa Anderson
Size: Lightweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Andersault {slingshot moonsault} (H 45, F 11)
Finishers: Elysium Whirl {corner tornado DDT} (H 20, F 85), Point of Attack {slingshot elbow strike} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 468, SPR 310, STRE 77, STRI 320, GRAP 181, GROU 130, SPED 400, STAM 230, ATHL 309, MGRO 50
XP Available: 247 (Points Available: 9)
Positive Traits: Flyboy (Lv 1), Bullet Time (Lv 2), Radar Sense (Lv 2), High Flier (Lv 1), Agile Climber, Ultra Charismatic
Negative Traits: Flabby Belly, Puny Human (Lv 2)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 93.5 (92.2), Body 99.95 (99.95), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Elyssa Anderson claims to be the one true female wrestling star in Australia, and pointedly ignores anyone who tells her otherwise. Relying solely on her fists and the occasional jaw-dropping aerial spectacle, Elyssa prefers to let her actions speak for her. When forced to use a microphone, though, she can hold her own against some of the other names in the industry. Her reputation for being a troublemaker has kept her from jobs in the past, despite her talents in the ring. However, the new regime of RRW sees this as a positive, hoping that Elyssa can create rivalries with both her in-ring and microphone skills.

Name: Erick Gibson
Size: Middleweight
Manager: Karen McClure
Signatures: Probationary Hearing {side Russian legsweep} (H 60, F 0)
Finishers: Terminable Offense {grounded glittering magician knee} (H 21, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 420, SPR 306, STRE 200, STRI 390, GRAP 103, GROU 214, SPED 56, STAM 123, ATHL 100, MGRO 303
XP Available: 527 (Points Available: 26)
Positive Traits: Educated Feet (Lv 1), Respected Brawler (Lv 1), Hands of Stone (Lv 1), Counter Striker (Lv 1), Hard to Topple, Real Fast Starter, Rule Bender (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Gasses Easily (Lv 1), Fish Out of Water (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 99.62 (98.34), Body 100 (99.625), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Some people are born to be the type of person that no one likes. Erick Gibson is one of those people, who feels like he should be the one in charge of every locker room he is in, and isn’t afraid to back up his claims with his fists. Adopting an “evil boss” persona that eerily matches his attitude backstage, Gibson is rumored to be one of the favorites to win the RRW Championship within the first three seasons. He is never far away from his “personal assistant” (and real-life spouse) Karen McClure, who assists him during matches by running interference and generally being a suck-up in any way possible.

Name: George Mastachas
Size: Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Olympus Rises {jumping shoulder block} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Wrath of Zeus {sit-out powerbomb} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 438, SPR 376, STRE 200, STRI 340, GRAP 290, GROU 175, SPED 78, STAM 240, ATHL 169, MGRO 0
XP Available: 611 (Points Available: 29)
Positive Traits: Cardio Freak (Lv 1), Impact Player (Lv 1), Master of the Powerbomb (Lv 1), Hands of Stone (Lv 1), Iron Will (Lv 1), Entertainer (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Matchstick Legs, Rubbery Legs
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 98.32 (97.62), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: George Mastachas, better known in Mediterranean wrestling circles as “Achilles the Greek,” is a veteran of in-ring action but is more well-known for his in-ring mannerisms and crowd interaction. Known for being a natural heel with the fans, Mastachas developed the (admittedly not very original) role of Achilles, the nigh-invincible warrior from Greek mythology, as a way to rub it in the faces of the audience that he was in far better shape than they could ever hope to be. Of course, he also played up the Achilles heel portion of the character, which explains why his legs are a focal point for most opponents.

Name: Indigo Rose
Size: Small
Manager: None
Signatures: Blood From a Rose {variated DDT} (H 40, F 20)
Finishers: Vite d'Indaco {Texas deathlock} (H 27, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 451, SPR 346, STRE 98, STRI 105, GRAP 506, GROU 417, SPED 55, STAM 175, ATHL 273, MGRO 50
XP Available: 615 (Points Available: 24)
Positive Traits: Submission Specialist (Lv 2, 3 TP total), Takedown Machine (Lv 1), Counter Grappler (Lv 1), Slippery Customer (Lv 1), Strategic Partner
Negative Traits: Boring!
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 95.62 (94.22), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Indigo Rose, named for the design on her in-ring attire, is a young technical wrestler getting her start in the business by signing with RRW. Trained in France, Rose (real name Rose Presetore) is hoping for that one breakout match or angle to catapult her into a global spotlight. Rose does have a slight fear of flying, which would normally limit her to the countries around her homeland of Italy (barring nautical travel), but is willing to face down her fears in order to make her dream of wrestling for a global audience a reality.

Name: Jean-Paul Ouilette
Size: Middleweight
Manager: Cecile Corine
Signatures: Fleur de Lis {swinging neckbreaker} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Le Petit Mort {Sports Entertainment elbow drop} (H 24, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 414, SPR 306, STRE 210, STRI 348, GRAP 72, GROU 303, SPED 115, STAM 177, ATHL 75, MGRO 185
XP Available: 221 (Points Available: 11)
Positive Traits: Impact Player (Lv 1), Respected Brawler (Lv 1), Entertainer (Lv 2), Flamboyant Movement
Negative Traits: None
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 98.7 (96.1), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Jean-Paul Ouilette was late in choosing to be a professional wrestler, not starting to train until the age of 25. This can be attributed to his way with the women of Paris (and most of western Europe in general), as Ouilette is a well-known “ladies man” outside the ring. His natural charm shows in the ring, as he prefers to play to the hatred and jealousy of the audience for his looks and his luck with the fairer sex. Signed by RRW as an attempt to cater to the Sports Entertainment fanbase, Jean-Paul knows that he is one title away from having all of the women he could ever want. He is accompanied to the ring by the beautiful Cecile Corine, a fellow Frenchwoman and Jean-Paul’s current “dame du jour.”

Name: Lance Heartilly
Size: Middleweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Heartilly Arm Breaker {fujiwara armbar} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Hellacious Leglock {figure four leglock} (H 20, F 87)
Attributes: OVR 518, SPR 553, STRE 126, STRI 90, GRAP 665, GROU 363, SPED 144, STAM 157, ATHL 250, MGRO 50
XP Available: 965 (Points Available: 24)
Positive Traits: Cardio Freak (Lv 1), Submission Specialist (Lv 2, 3 TP), Master Tactician, Pure Grappler (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Boring!, Rubbery Legs
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 99.8 (99.54), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: When he signed with RRW for their inaugural season, Lance Heartilly had hopes of proving the superiority of Canadian technical grappling and emerging as the first RRW Champion, a dream realized with a convincing 17 falls to none victory in the Season One Championship Match. He followed that up with an instant classic, winning 6 falls to 5 in the Season Two Championship Match as well as winning Tag Team Turmoil. As Season Three approaches, rumors abound that he may leave RRW for greener pastures after this season, and prove his greatness elsewhere especially if he can pull off the three-peat.

Name: Lord Robert Abernathy
Size: Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: British Suplexes {rolling German suplexes} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Shatterfall {spinebuster} (H 24, F 88), God Save the Queen {STF} (H 22, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 498, SPR 312, STRE 200, STRI 340, GRAP 380, GROU 316, SPED 100, STAM 200, ATHL 125, MGRO 50
XP Available: 948 (Points Available: 37)
Positive Traits: Abs of Steel, Ground and Pound (Lv 1), Respected Brawler (Lv 2, 3 TP), Hands of Stone (Lv 1), Counter Striker (Lv 1), Iron Will (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Crimson Mask (Lv 1), Real Late Starter
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 94.94 (93.54), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (99.8), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Lord Robert Abernathy, the first son of a minor nobleman from England, pursued pro wrestling as a gentlemanly endeavor to curb his family’s inherent trait of aggression due to short tempers. While he tries to be a polite English gentleman to his opponents, inevitably the occasion breaks down into fisticuffs, and Lord Abernathy the younger has no qualms defending his honorable person from men and women alike. One of the most experienced wrestlers to sign with RRW, Lord Abernathy joined the cause in order to fatten his family’s coffers and prove that being a gentleman does not mean that one has to blindly follow the rules that society expects one to follow, especially in the realm of unarmed combat.

Name: Markus Clay
Size: Lightweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Boarding Call {charging corner leg lariat, ending up on top rope} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Johannesburg Express {moonsault} (H 27, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 498, SPR 312, STRE 100, STRI 250, GRAP 150, GROU 141, SPED 474, STAM 186, ATHL 433, MGRO 50
XP Available: 612 (Points Available: 21)
Positive Traits: Flyboy (Lv 1), Bullet Time (Lv 1), Radar Sense (Lv 1), You Can’t Powerbomb…, High Flier (Lv 2, 3 TP), Corner Rebounder, Skin the Cat (Lv 2, 3 TP)
Negative Traits: Crimson Mask (Lv 2, -4 TP), Martyr Complex
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 96.4 (96), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Markus Clay may not be the most experienced wrestler in South Africa, but he’s certainly one of the most arrogant. Having no problem with putting his body on the line to win matches, Clay also has the wherewithal to not go insanely crazy with his aerial arsenal, sticking to the basics (with a bit of taunting for good measure) to finish his opponents. In fact, the flashiest move in his arsenal may be his Boarding Call, in which he uses a spinning leg lariat to strike his opponent and end up on the ring apron, quickly getting to the top rope to execute his Johannesburg Express moonsault to end the match. His motivation for signing with RRW is quite simple: to prove he is the best high-flier in the world today.

Name: Mel O'Hallister
Size: Lightweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Irish Clover {Cloverleaf submission} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Dream of the Emerald Isle {reverse DDT} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 456, SPR 303, STRE 202, STRI 393, GRAP 345, GROU 143, SPED 78, STAM 269, ATHL 133, MGRO 0
XP Available: 244 (Points Available: 9)
Positive Traits: Steel Skull, Impact Player (Lv 2, 3 TP), Anarchist (Lv 1), Samoan Skull
Negative Traits: Matchstick Legs, Rubbery Legs
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 100 (99.3), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Mel O’Hallister is your typical ginger Irishman—can drink many a person under the table, has a very short temper and is as pale as the dead. Despite his size, though, Mel hits incredibly hard, having a sort of innate sense to make any grappling holds have much more impact. This is especially true with his patented finishing move, a high velocity inverted DDT that can keep down even the largest of wrestlers. Mel’s body has suffered a lot of abuse over the years. In particular, a knee injury suffered early in his pro wrestling career make Mel’s legs a likely weakness and will surely be a focal point for his opponents as he enters RRW, daring management to put him in the "big man" Red Division to replace the departing Siberian Nightmare.

Name: Otto von Schwarz
Size: Giant
Manager: Hans Meyer
Signatures: Das Boot {big boot} (H 40, F 20)
Finishers: Gute Nacht {brain chop} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 489, SPR 316, STRE 510, STRI 506, GRAP 141, GROU 50, SPED 23, STAM 147, ATHL 175, MGRO 197
XP Available: 329 (Points Available: 13)
Positive Traits: Raw Power (Lv 2, 3 TP), Respected Brawler (Lv 2, 3 TP), Hands of Stone (Lv 2, 3 TP), Giant Movement
Negative Traits: Gasses Easily (Lv 1), Cannot Go Up Top, Fish Out of Water (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 92.2 (90.9), Body 99.43 (99.23), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Otto von Schwarz is a giant of a man, standing 7’3” tall. Because of his sheer size and power, Otto played up the “big and dumb” card early in his career, and with his size it’s really all he’s needed. Two years into his pro career, he was paired with Hans Meyer to be his mouthpiece, and the pair have been working together ever since. Outside the ring, Otto is an avid chess player and is well-spoken in his native German language, which surprises a lot of people who would take what they see in the ring as gospel.

Name: Pulsar
Size: Light Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Call of the Twelve {spider superplex} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Zodiac Implosion {shooting star senton bomb} (H 25, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 498, SPR 354, STRE 105, STRI 209, GRAP 100, GROU 155, SPED 525, STAM 167, ATHL 500, MGRO 50
XP Available: 319 (Points Available: 7)
Positive Traits: Tough As Nails (Lv 1), Flyboy (Lv 1), Air Force (Lv 1), High Flier (Lv 1), No Surrender, Radar Sense (Lv 1_
Negative Traits: Matchstick Legs, Broken Wheel
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 96.4 (95), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: For many years, Pulsar sacrificed his future for a chance at present glory. One of the best talents to never break into a noted promotion, Pulsar finally got his chance when RRW offered him a spot on their roster. Age has caught up with the high-flier, though, and his body is suffering from all of the sacrifices he forced upon it in his early years, though having recently rehabbed after replacing a torn ACL has left him in arguably better shape than he’s been in for years. The only question is if he will have enough in the tank to prove to all of the younger generation that experience still counts for a great deal once you step between the ropes.

Name: Reverend Johnny Gross
Size: Middleweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Kneel Before God {chop block} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Come to Jesus {variated dragon sleeper} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 515, SPR 382, STRE 320, STRI 478, GRAP 492, GROU 184, SPED 30, STAM 230, ATHL 66, MGRO 50
XP Available: 1008 (Points Available: 25)
Positive Traits: Tough as Nails (Lv 1), Showman (Lv 1), Iron Will (Lv 1), Ultra Charismatic
Negative Traits: None
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 98.12 (98.12), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Johnny Gross, an ordained minister by trade, was drawn into professional wrestling by the larger than life characters portrayed in the ring. Raised in a God-fearing house in the Deep South, Johnny became a true “hellfire and brimstone” southern Baptist preacher at the age of 31, and soon after brought his own style of preaching to his hobby of professional wrestling. While still relatively inexperienced, his character and his technical skills were enough to give him a tryout with RRW, and at age 33 is ready to make his latest debut in front of a worldwide audience. What better pulpit could there be for a preacher looking to put the fear of his God into his flock?

Name: Sin
Size: Small
Manager: None
Signatures: Cast the Stone {step-up enzuigiri} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Depravity {double-arm DDT} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 421, SPR 306, STRE 110, STRI 276, GRAP 370, GROU 191, SPED 105, STAM 200, ATHL 241, MGRO 50
XP Available: 243 (Points Available: 12)
Positive Traits: Ground and Pound (Lv 1), Raging Bull, Rule Bender (Lv 2, 3 TP))
Negative Traits: Puny Human (Lv 1), Real Late Starter
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 97.12 (96.42), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Greed. Pride. Envy. Lust. These and more are the beliefs that she lives by. Everyone has a little of her in them; she just has a knack of finding ways of exploiting that for her own personal gain. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?" If those were words to live by, Sin would be quite safe on her own. Outside of the ring, Cynthia Bellecourt is as far different from her character as can be. While not a fully devout Christian, Cynthia leads nearly a straight-edge lifestyle, going as far as to make public service appearances both in and out of character to warn children to not believe everything they see on television, and to keep their lives drug-free. She was signed by RRW primarily for her character and to be a natural foil to Reverend Johnny Gross.

Name: Sterling Silver
Size: Very Small
Manager: None
Signatures: Silver Streak {charging corner dropkick} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: On Wings of Silver {top rope 450 splash} (H 26, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 457, SPR 346, STRE 63, STRI 230, GRAP 166, GROU 78, SPED 507, STAM 250, ATHL 432, MGRO 50
XP Available: 263 (Points Available: 10)
Positive Traits: Flyboy (Lv 1), Air Force (Lv 1), You Can’t Powerbomb…, High Flier (Lv 1), Agile Climber, Skin the Cat (Lv 1), Strategic Partner, Apex Predator (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Not the Face!, Fish Out of Water (Lv 1)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 93.3 (92.2), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Canadian Luchadores are a rare breed; Luchadoras even more so. Sterling Silver may be the rarest of the lot; a luchadora of no small amount of skill who refuses to wrestle full-time in Mexico, claiming that she already embodies the spirit of lucha libre and doesn’t feel the need to be confined to one country in order to show it. Typically one to let her actions do the talking for her in the ring, Sterling turns to RRW for what may be her final run as an active competitor thanks to a number of concussions that have taken their toll on her body over the years.

Name: Sven Ulafsson
Size: Super Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Nordic Backbreaker {choke slam backbreaker} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Pure Power {stalling suplex into powerslam} (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 445, SPR 305, STRE 713, STRI 302, GRAP 300, GROU 120, SPED 42, STAM 140, ATHL 100, MGRO 50
XP Available: 254 (Points Available: 10)
Positive Traits: Tough as Nails (Lv 1), Impact Player (Lv 1), Raw Power (Lv 3, 6 TP), Hard to Topple
Negative Traits: Gasses Easily (Lv 1), Dozing Partner (Lv 2, -3 TP)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 92.1 (90), Body 99.78 (99.78), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: A man cut in the same vein as the Nordic strongmen of old, Sven Ulafsson comes to RRW with a number of accomplishments behind him. However, he says those will pale in comparison to showing the world that he is the one true strongman of professional wrestling. Indeed, his finisher (which some promotions commonly call a Jackhammer suplex) is rightly feared for both the length of time he can hold an opponent in the air, and the rib-breaking impact that follows as he slams his considerable weight on top of the opponent. His stamina may be the one weak link in his armor, though, and should be monitored closely.

Name: The Siberian Nightmare
Size: Super Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: The Sickle {discus clothesline} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Siberian Avalanche {leaping piledriver} (H 26, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 444, SPR 300, STRE 420, STRI 350, GRAP 367, GROU 169, SPED 19, STAM 138, ATHL 58, MGRO 50
XP Available: 600 (Points Available: 30)
Positive Traits: Tough as Nails (Lv 1), Pure Grappler (Lv 1), Respected Brawler (Lv 1), Hands of Stone (Lv 1), Man of Steel Reaction
Negative Traits: Fish Out of Water (Lv 1), Cannot Go Up Top
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 96.3 (94.3), Body 99.93 (99.93), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: The Siberian Nightmare, a behemoth of a man from the heart of Russia, has spent years in the pro wrestling circuit defeating opponents through brute force alone. While he denies rumors that he wrestles bears in the wilderness to keep himself in fighting form at all times, there’s no denying that his trademark finisher, a leaping piledriver, can take down even the largest of men. It’s unknown how RRW managed to find The Siberian Nightmare—some say he was found in the middle of a street fighting tournament—but he certainly brings a powerful physique to the roster.

Name: Vladimir Chavinski
Size: Heavyweight
Manager: None
Signatures: Ground and Pound (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Rear Naked Choke (H 20, F 85)
Attributes: OVR 468, SPR 305, STRE 290, STRI 588, GRAP 270, GROU 295, SPED 31, STAM 95, ATHL 135, MGRO 50
XP Available: 747 (Points Available: 29)
Positive Traits: Ground and Pound (Lv 2, 3 TP), Hands of Stone (Lv 1), Counter Striker (Lv 1), Samoan Skull, Respected Brawler (Lv 1)
Negative Traits: Gasses Easily (Lv 1), Boring!
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 92.96 (91.56), Body 100 (99.6), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Vladimir Chavinski trained for years to be a mixed martial artist, and many regarded him as someone with a bright future in Eurasian MMA. Then his first fight came, and his training flew out the window as he got himself disqualified (and subsequently banned from organized MMA events) by blatantly kicking his opponent in the crotch within ten seconds of the fight starting, and then pounding said opponent until half a dozen officials finally managed to pull him off. The opponent’s career was over after that, and Chavinski found himself looking for employment. RRW signed him to a one-season deal, with the implication that if Chavinski messed this up he would be perma-banned from the company. Now he finds himself trying to rein in his temper to avoid ruining what may be his last chance at glory.

Name: Yoshii Nakamatsu
Size: Lightweight
Manager: None
Signatures: DEVASTATION Knee {charging knee to head} (H 40, F 10)
Finishers: Nakamatsu Driver {death valley driver} (H 22, F 90), Emperor's Fall {face crusher} (H 21, F 86)
Attributes: OVR 510, SPR 323, STRE 162, STRI 260, GRAP 380, GROU 121, SPED 160, STAM 303, ATHL 302, MGRO 50
XP Available: 898 (Points Available: 35)
Positive Traits: Cardio Freak (Lv 1), Heavy Load, Corner Crasher, Tag Team Master (Lv 1), High Impact (Lv 2, 3 TP)
Negative Traits: Crimson Mask (Lv 2, -4 TP)
Condition--Current (Projected): Head 95.6 (94.9), Body 100 (100), Arms 100 (100), Legs 100 (100)
Bio: Yoshii Nakamatsu was a new presence in the Japanese indie scene, already making a name for himself with his high impact arsenal. There were rumors that a major promotion was considering signing him to a contract, before RRW made their offer. Nakamatsu waited a week in case any other offers came his way, and when the major Japanese promotin publicly denied the rumor that they were in the market for him, Nakamatsu signed with RRW. Relatively inexperienced, this could be the breakout moment he needs to slingshot himself into stardom.

Fallen Rib
Previously, in the annals of Rowdy Ringsports Wrestling….

Based out of Kansas City, Missouri, Rowdy Ringsports Wrestling (RRW) was formed when a local man—whose name will not be given here to help prevent the spread of notoriety associated with said name—needed to have what appeared to be a legitimate front for laundering money he was attempting to save to purchase a cybernetic spine. For the first couple of weeks, things looked like they might actually go his way. Business was booming, crowds were packing the leased arena, he seemed on top of the world. Then everything came crashing down at once.

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the US. Some of his underlings in another business venture put together a coup to have him removed under the vestige of the #MeToo movement (which would later be proven to be accurate accusations). Customers in general set up a boycott against his businesses.

Without fans buying tickets to RRW, and the sudden decrease in monthly income, the money laundering scheme was quickly discovered by the authorities. Through a plea bargain deal (which some say required him to sell a kidney on the black market, though these reports are unconfirmed), he was able to keep RRW running until the end of their initial season.

Once the season ended (see below for more details), he agreed to sell the rights to RRW to a foreign nobleman—the Right Honorable Duke of Clarence. This deal was only known to a few people, though when the US Government got wind of said deal they demanded their share of bribe money taxes, which took much longer to process than many had expected. Some say the cutbacks to the US Postal Service were to blame.

Regardless, after a number of hoops and other obstacles, RRW has finally returned, ready to embark on its second season. Now financed by the estate of the Duchy of Clarence, RRW looks to emanate from a small island somewhere in the eastern Atlantic Ocean for this season and possibly beyond, depending on the state of the world’s collapse at any given moment.

Previously, in the actual wrestling portion of Rowdy Ringsports Wrestling…

What started as a grand experiment to determine which styles of wrestling would be superior quickly degenerated into bloodlust and violence. When initially created, RRW was meant to separate wrestlers by their styles (and in some cases, gimmicks) into divisions. One division would host luchadors, one would host technical masters, one for brawlers, one for large, beefy men, and so forth. On the surface, it seemed like a good idea.

Then, week one of the season saw a cruiserweight eschew her finisher over the course of 36 minutes to defeat a technical wrestler by literally causing him to bleed so badly that the ref called a halt to the match.

Thus was chaos sown into the very fabric of RRW from the outset.

The next sixteen weeks would see some wrestlers shine, clearly separating themselves from the pack, while others struggled to even attain mediocrity. Of the 32 initial participants, four were watched by management with a keener eye than most: Hailey Carmichael, Eugene Nagata, Glenn Knight, and Jack “Classic” Braddock. Of those four, three made the playoffs at the end of the season—with the fourth losing out on his chance in the final week of the regular season—two won first-round byes, and one made the championship match…only to lose in humiliating fashion.

In the end, the top twelve positions in season one of RRW, awarded to those who made the playoffs, went to the following:
12th: Hailey Carmichael (10-6)
11th: Lord Robert Abernathy (11-5)
10th: Pulsar (11-5)
9th: Terrance Stevens (11-5)
8th: Otto von Schwarz (10-6)
7th: Jack “Classic” Braddock (11-5)
6th: Reverend Johnny Gross (12-4)
5th: Brandy McDonald (14-2)
4th: Yoshii Nakamatsu (11-5)
3rd: Billy Norris (11-5)
2nd: Glenn Knight (11-5)
Inaugural RRW Champion: Lance Heartilly (11-5)

As RRW prepares to enter Season Two, eleven of the previous season’s top twelve have verbally committed to another season with RRW, though management has made it clear that if new blood were to join RRW, they would likely get priority…reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions aside. Nepotism is alive and well in RRW, after all, especially where the boss’ daughter is concerned….

ShadowedFlames Presents… Rowdy Ringsports Wrestling: A Multiplayer Wrestling Spirit 3 (Mostly Text) Experience

A multi-what now?

This is a concept I came up with back in 2010, using the lesser-regarded of Adam Ryland’s wrestling titles, Wrestling Spirit II. The premise was to take the main single-player mode of the game, “Rookie to Legend,” and adapt it into a multiplayer experience. In the single player version, you would earn money based on your match results (winning matches paid more, naturally), and use that money to develop your stats and attributes. You could also use the money to buy various things outside of the wrestling business that could gain or lose money (like stocks, restaurants, and so forth). For the multiplayer version I had, the money was strictly for stat gains; no extraneous things were on offer. A character’s popularity for each region of the game determined their starting health, with higher being better, and these values changed based on match results.

When Wrestling Spirit 3 released in 2013, I went through a similar process to adapt the new game’s Rookie to Legend mode into a version that could be played by multiple people at once. With a revised, more streamlined stat system, the addition of more perks, and additional match types being introduced, as well as the ability to import move sets instead of creating them one move at a time, WS3 was (in my opinion) a far superior game than its predecessor. However, real life circumstances kept me from pursuing a second season in the new game (and eighth overall) when I was looking to continue in the summer of 2014. I think after a few years of getting things in order that it’s time to revive this concept, and take it outside of the Grey Dog Software forum.

So when do I get to be Vince McMahon and buy up all the indies?

You don’t. Total Extreme Warfare (TEW) is the wrestling booking simulator, a thread of which can be found here. Wrestling Spirit 3 is a wrestler simulator. You make a wrestler, determine their moveset, improve their abilities, and try to go from essentially a backyard wrestler to being The Rock. That said, WS3 may feel incomplete to some. There’s no “out of ring” tasks that you can do—no chance to cut an impromptu promo on someone on social media, or take movie bookings to increase your popularity, and so forth. It’s basically wrestle matches and try to win most of them to improve your standing in the game world, rinse and repeat. Most people don’t expect this when they fire up the game, and so look at it unfavorably (hell, Steam’s version of the game has a Mostly Negative rating at the time I’m writing this). So the game has its flaws, I won’t lie about it. But I think where it shines is when someone gets creative with the tools provided by the game, and comes up with ideas that allow multiple people to do something with the game that isn’t normally built in. That’s where this concept comes into play.

Alright, you’re not selling me on the idea. What exactly is different from normal play versus what you’re presenting here?

Here’s an example of standard gameplay, with timg pictures to help demonstrate as most of them run 1500ish x 1000ish pixels and I'd rather not break tables.

You are on offense. Pick a move from the list below.

Game RNG rolls results, determines if move hits or misses
If hits, you remain on offense, return to top of loop
If miss, check for reversal/dodge/block to determine if opponent goes on offense.

If opponent goes on offense, they pick a move. You have limited options to counter or block. Attempt to regain control through reversals/blocking/rushing a top rope move/using a move of your own.

Repeat until match ends or you Alt+F4 the game out of sheer boredom/frustration.

This is the core loop of gameplay, as you try to win matches to get your stat numbers to go higher and make things (hopefully) easier for you to accomplish. The Wrestling Spirit games have a tag line of “the thinking person’s fighting game,” which is half true. The RNG is a major factor in this, as well. So when actively playing, you’re going to get frustrated before too long with the rolls not going your way.

With the multiplayer concept, what I’m doing is essentially taking the concept of “make a character in Fire Pro Wrestling/WWE 2Kwhatever,” and face an opponent who’s done the same in a CPU v CPU exhibition match. This runs for a number of weeks, like an NFL schedule (complete with divisions), and handlers can improve their wrestlers every week with whatever experience they earn. At the end of the season, the best wrestlers make the playoffs, until only one remains as the champion.

While in solo play, you only spend experience on your stats/your manager’s stats, in this concept you can also save up XP to purchase additional signature or finishing moves, and improve the rate of them actually hitting and/or ending a match (up to a certain limit). This prevents a player in this multiplayer concept from having 40% of their moves be finishers from the outset, for the sake of parity and narrative.

WS3, when running matches, allows you to pull a text version of the play-by-play for the match to post in forums/pastebins/etc. In the past, I’ve taken these play-by-play logs and added commentary from a two- or three-person announce team to make things interesting and break up the monotony of the match results. For this project, I would do one match in that style per “week” of the schedule (usually the one that is highest rated in the game), and summarize the remainder of the matches on the card to save space. Playoff matches will mostly be play-by-play, but the championship match will always be in the play-by-play style as it’s the final match of the season and deserves the spotlight.

(The “text output” at the bottom inverts the order, putting the start of the match first, and allows for copying into the word processor of your choice.)

I’m still not sold. What does this finished product actually look like in practice?

Well, you’re in luck. That whole first season I referenced in the opening preview? That can be found here. This thread will pick up right where the last thread left off, with a few months having passed to reflect time I spent pursuing other projects not WS3-related.

Hmmm. Not fully convinced, but I might give this a try. What do I need to do?
Fill out the app below and either PM it to me here on the forums or email it to wrespi3league@gmail.com. (The latter is for those without PM access and not wanting to give the current management any money to get said access.)

Shoot this guy in the face.

Fallen Rib
Rowdy Ringsports Wrestling (RRW) is run using the Wrestling Spirit 3 game, most updated version (2.0). The database used is the default “Cornellverse” database, with added modifications for RRW wrestlers and their managers, moves, personalized movesets, avatars (if provided), and other information that may be needed to enter RRW entrants into the game.

INITIAL CHARACTER CREATION
All characters, regardless of the season in which they begin, start with 8,000 XP. This is enough to buy 1,200 stat points, barring any finisher/signature purchases.

A character may employ a manager for a season, at no initial cost. However, this manager will take 15% of a character’s earned experience per match as their cut for their services. This cannot be offset in any fashion. CHANGED FOR SEASON THREE: A manager only takes their 15% cut when they successfully interfere in a match. For Match of the Night narratives, I may inject some flavor text about a manager being vocal at ringside or trying to talk their client into getting to a rope, etc. but unless the game specifically gives me "[Manager] grabbed the foot of [Wrestler] to stop a [Move]" or some such, it does not count as officially interfering in a match under this rule.

In addition, all new characters start with five Trait Points (5 TP). These Trait Points are used to buy special abilities that affect the performance of each wrestler, such as “Steel Skull” (take reduced head damage) or “Submission Specialist” (gain a bonus to submission moves that could finish a match). Most of these abilities have multiple ranks, with the effects increasing with each rank. Negative traits also exist, like “Matchstick Legs’ (take additional leg damage). These negative traits, when taken, will give the player bonus TP to use in other positive traits, and some also have multiple ranks. A starting character can take a maximum of two rank 1 negative traits, but there is no limit to the number of positive traits allowed as long as the TP cost does not exceed the amount of TP a character has. A full list of the available traits is included at the end of this post.

The character’s initial moveset can be determined in one of two ways:
--Automatically generated by the game, using the culture and categories selected when the character is created, or
--Created by the player and sent to me for entering into the game.

Regardless of the method used, all movesets will be edited to remove any finisher-level moves that are not the character’s trademark moves. This is for competitive parity. In the event that an auto-generated moveset does not have enough moves to make for a reasonably competitive character, I will go in and add basic moves for the character until this has been fixed.

In the event that a character uses an auto-generated moveset, it will be updated at the end of every season to reflect the changes in stats and attributes that the character has earned.

In-game avatars are not required. If you wish to provide one for your character, the minimum size should be 150x150. As I do not have an artsy bone in my body, I’m the wrong guy to ask for renders and such, so be warned. That said…any avatars that are sent to me to be used, as long as they don’t break forum rules, I’ll attempt to incorporate into the LP where appropriate.

CHARACTER ADVANCEMENT AFTER A SEASON
Any wrestlers returning following a season in which they lost more matches than they won will receive free stat points to allocate into any stat except Overall and Spirit as they deem fit. I’ll wait until the end of the season to determine the amount, as I want the amount to be a competitive number, but not enough for wrestlers to decide to “tank” for a massive stat boost.

RRW STRUCTURE
RRW will contain 32 wrestlers at any time. Any spots in the field of 32 not taken by a goon participant will be filled with a pre-made character of mine, who will adhere to all RRW rules and guidelines. The wrestlers will be divided into 2 “conferences,” the Ringsports Conference and the Wrestlehut Conference. Each conference will have four divisions of four wrestlers. Division winners, and the top two non-division winners in each conference, will advance to the playoffs each season. (In other words, it’s set up similar to NFL structure.)

Each character will participate in one match per week. There are no bye weeks; during the regular season all 32 wrestlers will be competing on every show. After each week’s results are posted, handlers will have roughly four to five days to send in training and changes to their character to go into effect for the following week. Match types can consist of the following: normal, cage, hardcore, first blood, table, submission, and European. The majority of the matches will be normal bouts, with a chance of any match on the schedule earning a stipulation at the time the season schedule is made. I will make every effort to ensure that all wrestlers have at least one gimmick/specialty match each season.

--Because I know it’s going to be asked: A “European” style match, as depicted in this game, is a two out of three falls match that is conducted in five-minute rounds with a one-minute break in between each round.

At roughly the halfway point of the season, a special “Tag Team Turmoil” tournament event will be held, with the top two teams earning bonus Spirit points. Players are encouraged to form teams in the game thread, otherwise partners will be drawn at random.

All characters making the playoffs will earn Spirit points in lieu of OVR, according to the same formula used in the regular season. This and the midseason tag event are the primary ways to earn points in this stat, so good performances will go a long way towards long-term viability. Playoff matches do not award XP to participants. All playoff matches are two-out-of-three falls, with the exception of the RRW Championship match, which is always contested under 60-Minute Iron Man rules.

Note: it is possible to lose Overall/Spirit as a result of a match!

In Wrestling Spirit 3, each promotion has its own set of rules to stand out from others. For instance, lucha libre promotions will make martinetes (moves like the piledriver) illegal and cause for an immediate DQ. Others do not care for the safety of their wrestlers and will not allow the match to be stopped for injuries or severe blood loss. Thus, RRW has its own set of rules that dictate the flow of the match in WS3, and those rules are listed below:

quote:

Medium/Low/Danger Energy levels: 85/50/15
Run-ins: No
Ref bumps: Yes
Face vs. Heel: Yes (Mainly used in single-player)
Managers: Yes
Strict DQs: No
Blood Stoppages: Yes
Ref Stoppages (Medical DQ): Yes
Flash Points (random events like slightly fast count, ref out of position, etc.): Yes
Momentum: Yes
Vulnerable State: Yes (Vulnerable is a special state that usually only comes into play at High and Danger-level of damage. Certain moves can only finish a match when the target is Vulnerable.)
Warrior Spirit: Yes
Adrenaline Boosts: Yes (This option allows those who use their Trait Points on an Adrenaline Rush to use it when the circumstances allow it)
Dramatic Comebacks: Yes (This encourages risk, as a defender who counters a move with a high or finisher-level move will instantly go to full momentum, while their opponent drops to no momentum. Think Randy Orton countering Evan Bourne’s Shooting Star press, or Orton countering the Curb Stomp at Mania.)
Energy Effects: Yes (This essentially penalizes the wrestler if they perform a lot of strenuous moves in a row. They get gassed and suffer a penalty to their to-hit rolls until they get their breath back.)
Tag Team Saves: Yes
Warm Up: 2 Minutes (effectively, the length of time before a move could end a match).
Martinetes: Legal
Top Rope Moves: Legal
Minor Cheating: Illegal
Pre-Match Interviews: No (This is mainly a single-player option.)

IMPROVING STATS
A character’s Overall (OVR) rating determines their starting health levels. The higher the OVR, the more resilient they typically are. Weekly OVR changes are factored on match rating, length of match, and manner of match finish, with the match winner naturally getting a higher OVR change. All of this is handled by a formula in an Access database (formerly, an Excel spreadsheet), so there is no subjective rating system done by me; it’s all based on what the game tells me after the match.

Experience (XP) is earned in a similar manner, based on match rating, length, and finish type. Starting values for XP are 400 for the winner of a match, and 100 for the loser, before modifiers are brought into play. A match deemed to be the Match of the Night (typically the highest rated one, with ties broken by match length) earns each participant an additional 75 XP. Your XP is used to improve your stats, or buy/improve signature and finishing moves. Stat point costs scale upwards as you acquire more total stat points. (So, if your stats only total 1200, like a default character, you’ll get more mileage out of 500 XP (33 stat points) than you would if you had a total of 5000 stat points (1 stat point).)

All of the primary stats affect auto-generated movesets. The available stats in this game are as follows:
Strength: This affects how well a character can move another with moves like the Irish Whip, and helps offset Fall on Top counters.
Striking: This is how accurate a character is with their punches and kicks.
Grappling: This is how effective a character is at maintaining hold of an opponent and not allowing them to Slip Out of a grapple.
Ground: This is how well a character can keep an opponent from Rolling through a maneuver.
Speed: How fast a character is, which affects the Move and Avoid defenses.
Stamina: Generally, a wrestler’s cardio level. Affects how long it takes to get gassed during offensive sequences, or tired in general during extended matches.
Athleticism: How athletic a character is.
Manager Overall: For those characters who employ managers, this is how effective those managers are at their jobs. The higher the level, the more they can interfere and generally be a nuisance before the referee kicks them out of the match.

SIGNATURE AND FINISHING MOVES
Buying a new signature move costs 400 XP. A new finisher costs 1,000 XP. These are flat rates and will not scale based on number of moves previously purchased. Depending on the base move, I will edit damage/hit/finish ratios as appropriate to not make any single move overpowered from the start. Signature moves and finishing moves will abide by the following guidelines:

Signature Move, Medium Level Attack (example: Rob Van Dam’s Rolling Thunder)
Base Chance to Hit: 60%
XP Per +1% to Hit: 40
Max Chance to Hit: 75%
Medium Level Signatures cannot finish a match.

Signature move, High Level Attack (example: Sheamus’ White Noise)
Base Chance to Hit: 40%
XP per +1% to hit: 50
Max Chance to Hit: 55%
Base Chance to Finish: 10%
XP per +1% to Finish: 75
Max Chance to Finish: 20%

Signature move, High Level High-Risk Attack (example: CM Punk’s Top Rope Elbow Drop)
Base Chance to Hit: 45% (The chance to hit is slightly higher to help offset the risk involved)
XP per +1% to hit: 75
Max Chance to Hit: 55%
Base Chance to Finish: 10%
XP per +1% to Finish: 75
Max Chance to Finish: 20%

Standard Finisher (example: Okada’s Rainmaker)
Base Chance to Hit: 20%
XP per +1% to hit: 125
Max Chance to Hit: 30%
Base Chance to Finish: 85%
XP per +1% to Finish: 200
Max Chance to Finish: 95%

High-Risk Finisher (example: Ricochet’s 630 Senton)
Base Chance to Hit: 25% (The chance to hit is slightly higher to help offset the risk involved)
XP per +1% to hit: 175
Max Chance to Hit: 35%
Base Chance to Finish: 85%
XP per +1% to Finish: 200
Max Chance to Finish: 95%

WEAR AND TEAR ON THE BODY
After each match, I will take the physical condition of each wrestler and note it in my database. The more damage a wrestler endures to a specific body part in a season, the more that part’s maximum health will be reduced at the end of a season. As a character gets more worn down, it will become harder for them to maintain the health of their body, perhaps even leading to needing to retire because they medically cannot be an effective competitor. At present, I have a rough idea of how I want to introduce a rest vs. surgery mechanic. One of the characters in Season Two will actually serve as a practical test for this mechanic to allow for future tweaks before it’s needed in general by goon players, as they will be playing under the effect of having had surgery on all four regions of the body.

NOTES ON PLAYER PARTICIPATION
In light of the current environment on SA and the world in general, I’m changing one rule from my previous version of this game. RPing/trash talking/promos against past, current and future opponents will not be allowed. While I know promos and talking smack is part of the wrestling business, I’ve discussed this with a few mods via PM and the general consensus is allowing RPs and the like will open up an entire factory of canned worms that is best left untouched. So in the interests of not allowing a thread, especially what’s supposed to be a fun game thread, to become a harbor for thinly-veiled hate speak/bigotry/whatever-phobia written under the guise of a fictional wrestling character under my watch, I’m instituting this rule. It’ll be subject to change down the road depending on the state of affairs.

If there’s enough interest in predicting winners for matches each week, I’ll keep a running tally of correct picks per season. Winner of the season-long prediction game may earn a small boon to affect the game world at my discretion. (Give all existing players a small boost to one stat? Done. Make Wrestler X in RRW lose all their overall due to a goatse leak? No.)

The only way your character is going to improve his stats is with your input. So I’d encourage people to check in at least every other week to distribute points as necessary. I know that real life takes precedence and all, but if you enter a character and go an entire season without checking in to improve said character, I reserve the right to remove that character for the following season to let someone else step in who is willing to be active.

If, nearing the season’s end, we get more people willing to join than I have room for (32 characters is my upper limit, as 16 matches takes a little while to simulate), I reserve the right to implement a regression system, where the worst-performing wrestlers are eliminated for newer competition. Characters regressed in this manner can return the following season if their handlers still want back in. I’ll expand more on this if this whole concept lasts into a second (or further) season here and if participation levels warrant it.

Finally, please note that I will keep the second post of this thread updated with current season win-loss records, and up to date stats/attributes/special moves for all currently active wrestlers. This is to simulate scouting future opponents.

NOTES ON TRAIT POINTS FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS
Upon entering their second season or beyond, a character may increase the rank of any current negative trait(s) they have by one level (if applicable), and may choose another negative perk to gain at Level 1. If increasing the rank of an existing negative trait, this can be done for each trait every season--there is no "limit one trait to worsen per customer" here.

LIST OF TRAITS
Reminder for new characters: Start with 5 TP, can take two Level 1 negative traits to start, no limit to upper level of traits as long as it remains within your TP budget.

WARNING: For traits that have multiple levels, the point cost adds together! So for Level 2 of “Tough as Nails,” it’s 2 TP for Level 1 PLUS 4 TP for Level 2, for a total of 6 TP!
For traits like Hands of Stone/Rule Bender, it’s 1 TP for Level 1 PLUS 2 TP for Level 3, making a total of 3 TP!

And with the opening barrage of things done and out of the way...let me officially welcome you all to the new home for RRW. Feel free to drop any questions you have here and I'll respond as I am available to.

I am aiming for a Season Two start date of SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3.

Applications for Season Two competitors will close on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 at 11:59 PM Eastern US Time. This will give me a couple of days of buffer to enter any last-second entrants, ensure a moveset is viable for them, officially make the Season Two Schedule and get all of the administrative work done before actually getting a show out of the computer.

It might well be. However, I’ve never tried it and I’d need to figure out how to adapt all the work I’ve put into this series into that one, which defeats the purpose of trying to showcase the black sheep of the Adam Ryland wrestling games.

Since I’ve already laid the groundwork for this game and have been dabbling with it for a while at this point, I might as well run with what I’ve put all the thought into already. I can take a look at this other over the next few weeks and see if I think it’s viable to try.

The roster list has been updated with two new goon entrants, and a revision of "filler" characters. As more goons come in, some of the filler characters will be weeded out to make room. I will be working on movelists shortly; I just wanted to get the list of characters up to date first.

Those of you who read through the season one thread will notice some new faces replacing some folks from season one. This is by design, as one of the characters (Devil's Delight) is serving as my beta test for the surgery mechanic, and a few others are in to replace those who under-performed.

So in early testing...

Both new goon wrestlers are 2-1 after three test bouts.

My beta test character for the surgery mechanic is 0-7. Not ideal but somewhat as expected given the stats I gave them.

I can finish a match about three times faster on the desktop PC than on my tablet, and I’ve nearly missed a couple minor events in hitting the continue button too quickly. This is a Good Problem to have.

My Excel sheet that I use for this project also no longer threatens to soft lock my computer due to size and number of calculations. This is good because I still haven’t gotten the Access database version working the way I want it to (that is to say, basically at all).

I’ll be drafting the schedule after work tonight—any late replacements can be slotted in without an issue, but the schedule making is generally the second-longest part of the offseason (behind new character creation).

Anyone else who may want to join: there’s still time to get in before the application deadline closes!

I thought I’d mentioned this elsewhere but may not have...

Senerio, Projecthalaxy, I Before E, and The Bee: you each have an additional 1 TP you can spend before the season starts. If you have a negative trait that can be worsened, you can elect to go to level 2 of that negative trait for additional TP or add a new level 1 negative trait for TP.

(Example, using a character not returning from last season: Erick Gibson has Level 1 in Fish Out of Water (-1 TP). He elects to move that down to level 2. As the total cost moves from -1 to -3 TP, Gibson has 2 additional points, plus his freebie from the season, for a total of 3 TP he can spend as he wishes.)

The new application deadline has passed. What you see in post number three in the thread is what you'll get in terms of participants for Season Two of RRW.

The week one card is below. Like last season, I'll keep a running tally of correct picks, and the winner at the end of the season will be given the right to make one change to the RRW universe (pending my approval). Last season, Senerio elected to use his boon to give all of the members of the RRW roster 50 free points in Manager Overall, even if they did not have a manager at the time. Who will win the boon this season, and what will it be? We'll find out in about four months' time!

However...we have to start somewhere, and that somewhere is Week One!

PURPLE DIVISION: Jack "Classic" Braddock (0-0, OVR 448) vs. Diamond Steel (0-0, OVR 438)

A heads up, as I begin to run matches...there's an error in the prediction sheet for Jack Braddock's OVR value. It should read 448 instead of 422. I've fixed it in my post above for reference.

This is because in order for some of my formulas to work properly, I needed to remove the names in quotations from Jack Braddock and Hans Nitschke (especially for "Herr Doktor" as the quotes are at the beginning of his name)...but forgot to change the part that looked up the correct value. It was instead looking up the value before Jack's, which belongs to Indigo Rose. Found the error when trying to have the sheet call up Nitschke's information but the quotes at the beginning were causing far more trouble than they should. So everything on my sheets has "Classic" or "Herr Doktor" removed, but they still appear in the game database as intended.

If anyone wants to change predictions in light of this information, you have until Friday at 11:59 PM eastern US to make your changes. RRW Management regrets the error and has summarily fired the intern responsible for maintaining the spreadsheet.

The video package that opened the show reviewed the championship match from last season, what’s gone on with RRW in the downtime, and introduced the viewing audience to RRW’s Fight Island, an otherwise nondescript island in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, purchased by the Duchy of Clarence for this specific purpose. Then, after a rather unnecessary opening pyro sequence, the night’s festivities began in earnest.

PURPLE DIVISION
Jack "Classic" Braddock (0-0, OVR 448) vs. Diamond Steel (0-0, OVR 438)

In Season One, Braddock swept the series against Steel. On paper, given Braddock’s past successes against Steel, this seemed like a weak match to start the second season on. And while noted journalist Maven Deltzer didn’t think too highly of the match, it was still a closely-contested bout. The match could have gone either way for the first ten minutes of it, as both brawlers tried to secure the upper hand with their various strikes. Steel had an advantage after landing a Goal Line Stand, something she hadn’t done too often last season, but Braddock managed to shake it off and land a couple of Spinning Backfists in return. This was enough to leave Steel open for a Jack Attack, and three seconds later Jack Braddock emerged with the first pinfall of the second campaign.

Jack Braddock (1-0) def. Diamond Steel (0-1) via Pinfall (Jack Attack) in 13:29. Rating: **
Changes for Jack Braddock: OVR + 4.16, XP + 486.47, minor damage to head
Changes for Diamond Steel: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.62, moderate damage to head

Sven Ulafsson (0-0, OVR 435) vs. Indigo Rose (0-0, OVR 422)

The early part of the match was notable for one thing—Indigo Rose “borrowing” a spot from Eugene Nagata last season. Within four minutes into the match, she had avoided a knife edge chop in the corner from Ulafsson, and quickly hopped onto the middle turnbuckle to deliver the classic Corner Ten Punch…not once, not twice, but six consecutive times before Sven finally shoved her away to get back on offense. Ulafsson would fight and claw his way back into the match, but the sheer audacity of Rose to connect with sixty punches in a row like that was enough to give her a serious morale boost. Eventually, she was able to wear Ulafsson down to lock in the Vite d’Indaco and pick up what many would call an upset victory, her second in RRW against Ulafsson.

Indigo Rose (1-0) def. Sven Ulafsson (0-1) via Submission (Vite d’Indaco) in 15:33. Rating: *
Changes for Indigo Rose: OVR + 3.02, XP + 446.84, no notable damage
Changes for Sven Ulafsson: OVR -0.92, XP + 111.71, minor damage to head

PURPLE DIVISION
Vladimir Chavinski (0-0, OVR 426) vs. Angela Wassermann (0-0, OVR 400)

The first of the new entrants into RRW for Season Two, Wassermann knew she had a fight ahead of her against Chavinski, even if Chavinski had a losing record coming into the match. After all, she was at a clear size disadvantage, as well as in RRW experience. Someone forgot to tell Chavinski this, though. Wassermann controlled most of the match, landing several Superman Punches almost at will. Chavinski never seemed to get out of the gate despite a few sequences of offense, and quickly fell victim to Wassermann’s patented Cross Arm Breaker submission. The former WMMA champion makes a successful debut in dominant fashion.

Angela Wassermann (1-0) def. Vladimir Chavinski (0-1) via Submission (Cross Arm Breaker) in 15:54. Rating: *
Changes for Angela Wassermann: OVR + 3.04, XP + 447, no notable damage
Changes for Vladimir Chavinski: OVR -0.92, XP + 111.75, minor damage to head

YELLOW DIVISION
Markus Clay (0-0, OVR 441) vs. Elyssa Anderson (0-0, OVR 427)

This was a contender for Match of the Night honors. Despite Anderson’s struggles last season, she had managed a split in the series against Clay last season. This match proved to be as close as the lifetime series between the two (for all that two matches count as a “lifetime series,” that is). For the first nine minutes, neither wrestler managed more than three moves at a time before the opponent would go on the offensive.

It was at 9:32 into the match that the first real momentum shift happened. Anderson was on the attack, and had Clay down near the center of the ring. Seeing an opportunity, Elyssa went to the ropes, looking to hit her trademark Andersault…only for Clay to move away at the last moment. While Anderson would quickly get back on the offensive, the impact must have done more damage to her than she thought. Clay started to get longer and more sustained stretches of offense, and it only took a few minutes past this point for him to deliver a stump piledriver, get to the top rope, and land the Johannesburg Express to pick up the dule in one of the more entertaining bouts of the night.

Markus Clay (1-0) def. Elyssa Anderson (0-1) via Pinfall (Johannesburg Express) in 16:56. Rating: ***
Changes for Markus Clay: OVR + 5.64, XP + 528.81, minor damage to head
Changes for Elyssa Anderson: OVR + 0.78, XP + 132.20, moderate damage to head, minor damage to body

ORANGE DIVISION
Billy Norris (0-0, OVR 451) vs. Pulsar (0-0, OVR 454)

The two matches between these two last season involved a lot of movement, both in the ring to set up moves and also to avoid impacts of other moves. Their third match against each other was more of the same. It took about seven minutes for either man to get a distinct advantage, and once Norris had it, he never relinquished it despite missing five Down Under Disaster attempts. He was too fresh to be pinned off of them, however, so Pulsar was unable to take advantage of a cheeky pin attempt like what happened to Norris a couple times last season. Norris slipping out of a Call of the Twelve was Pulsar’s last gasp at offense, as Norris finally connected with a Down Under Disaster a few seconds later to take the victory.

Billy Norris (1-0) def. Pulsar (0-1) via Pinfall (Down Under Disaster) in 12:08. Rating: **
Changes for Billy Norris: OVR + 4.09, XP + 485.82, no notable damage
Changes for Pulsar: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.46, moderate damage to head

Jun Onoo (0-0, OVR 435) vs. Hailey Carmichael (0-0, OVR 439)

In yet another out-of-division rematch from last season, Hailey looked to notch her second win against the much larger Onoo. She had to work for it, though, as Jun went on offense early and stuck to using his size to keep Hailey from tying him up in one of her many submission holds. Unable to squeeze Carmichael into submission with Lasting Agony, Onoo only got a couple more strikes in before Hailey found a way out of a powerbomb attempt, went on offense, got in a VSCOverleaf, and never looked back. She had to wear Onoo down a little more than normal to keep him from breaking out of #NoFilter, and even then only managed to keep her grip by one finger on each hand—possibly by digging her fingernails into the palms of Onoo—before the larger man gave up. Some would say Hailey just escaped with the win, but probably not to her face.

Hailey Carmichael (1-0) def. Jun Onoo (0-1) via Submission (#NoFilter) in 18:10. Rating: **
Changes for Hailey Carmichael: OVR + 4.43, XP + 415.41, minor damage to head
Changes for Jun Onoo: OVR -0.08, XP + 122.18, minor damage to head

Mel O'Hallister (0-0, OVR 400) vs. Sterling Silver (0-0, OVR 421)

Rumors had spread during the offseason that Sterling Silver was near the top of the list to be cut from RRW depending on how many new people were coming in. She had also hinted at retirement near the end of last season, but due to the worldwide pandemic and the lack of new entrants to RRW, she managed to keep hold of her roster spot by the slimmest of margins. So it doesn’t say too much for her chances this season when the debuting Mel O’Hallister controlled most of the matchup, taking advantage of the numerous head injuries Silver had suffered over her years in the ring, and eventually putting her away with his trademark Reverse DDT for the pinfall in rather quick fashion.

Mel O'Hallister (1-0) def. Sterling Silver (0-1) via Pinfall (Dream of the Emerald Isle) in 11:07. Rating: **
Changes for Mel O'Hallister: OVR + 4.03, XP + 485.34, no notable damage
Changes for Sterling Silver: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.33, moderate damage to head

WHITE DIVISION LAST ONE STANDING MATCH
Brandy McDonald (0-0, OVR 453) vs. Eugene Nagata (0-0, OVR 425)

Brandy McDonald, beyond any doubt, was the best wrestler in RRW during the regular season. Sporting a 14-2 record, she was the odds-on favorite to roll through the playoffs and win the RRW Championship...and was then summarily bounced out in her match due to the referee stopping the match due to blood loss. She has had months to stew it over, and when the schedule was dropped before the season, she was on record as saying “Good. Last Man Standing? Not happening. I’ll be the last one standing.” This prompted RRW to officially change the match name for all future Last Man/Woman Standing matches.

The problem was, Eugene Nagata was still livid about missing out on the playoffs in the final week of the regular season, and came ready to rumble. McDonald had an early start, her higher popularity giving her an extra reserve of energy that Nagata had to work his way through. In the meantime, McDonald kept wearing down Nagata, putting him in danger of a Brandy With a Twist early. Nagata was able to block it and then, as if to show Indigo Rose how it was really done, proceeded to spend the next minute-plus alternating between knife edge chops in the corner and ten punch spots. When he tried to break up the monotony with a slapping taunt, though, McDonald finally broke free of the corner only to walk into a Nagata Special. A second one a few moments later really put McDonald in trouble, and a Nagata Knockout sealed the deal. In what has to be the biggest upset of the night, Nagata picks up the victory to start his season with a bang!

Eugene Nagata (1-0) def. Brandy McDonald (0-1) via Last One Standing (Nagata Knockout) in 16:30. Rating: **
Changes for Eugene Nagata: OVR + 4.34, XP + 414.73, minor damage to head
Changes for Brandy McDonald: OVR -0.08, XP + 121.98, minor damage to head

BLACK DIVISION SUBMISSION MATCH
Reverend Johnny Gross (0-0, OVR 443) vs. Blood River (0-0, OVR 430)

So, how do you follow the biggest upset of the night? With a Match of the Night contender, naturally. One would be excused for not expecting it out of this match, though. After all, Reverend Gross utilizes a submission finisher, while Blood River is more akin to a typical cruiserweight. On the surface, this has all the trappings of a Reverend Gross cakewalk.

The first few minutes went about how you’d expect given that last sentence. Gross maintained control, a few assorted shots from River aside, for the opening eight minutes of the contest. With focusing on the head of River, Gross was clearly setting up for his Come to Jesus dragon sleeper that has netted him nine submission victories in the past. As Gross went to pick up River after a stump piledriver, though, River fought back with a rake of the eyes, followed by a headbutt.

A headbutt, mind, that busted the Right Reverend open. Astute viewers watching immediately thought back to week eight last season, in which Jun Onoo won a European Rules match by blood stoppage instead of the traditional method of winning two falls. Perhaps River had a chance after all in a match not suited for his talents.

River managed to worsen the laceration a minute later, only for Gross to rip open part of River’s mask to expose the forehead underneath and bust open the masked man a minute after that. River managed to widen the cut on Gross’ head a little more, but a piledriver followed into a DDT and then into trapping headbutts took the starch out of River soon after. All of that punishment, plus his own blood loss, eventually caught up with River as he faded to a Come to Jesus to end one of the bloodier submission matches in RRW history.

Reverend Johnny Gross (1-0) def. Blood River (0-1) via Submission (Come to Jesus) in 19:18. Rating: ***
Changes for Reverend Johnny Gross: OVR + 5.82, XP + 530.04, moderate damage to head
Changes for Blood River: OVR + 0.81, XP + 112.63, minor damage to head

El Tornado (0-0, OVR 433) vs. Jimmy Anarchy (0-0, OVR 418)

A first-time matchup between a pair of season one competitors, this was a tale of two matches. The first match was in the first six and a half minutes, in which Anarchy was in control for the vast majority of it. The only problem was that it took about that long for Anarchy to gas out, as he exerted a lot of energy from the opening bell. Once Anarchy started getting exhausted, the second match kicked in, which saw Tornado take advantage.

Tornado would not relinquish it. Not even five minutes later, Tornado had put Anarchy away with the Tornado Splash to claim his first win of the season, and give the audience watching at home time to cool down a bit from the bloodbath that was the previous match.

El Tornado (1-0) def. Jimmy Anarchy (0-1) via Pinfall (Tornado Splash) in 11:14. Rating: **
Changes for El Tornado: OVR + 4.04, XP + 485.39, no notable damage
Changes for Jimmy Anarchy: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.35, minor damage to head

WHITE DIVISION
Terrance Stevens (0-0, OVR 442) vs. George Mastachas (0-0, OVR 400)

In hindsight, Mastachas probably wishes he could have either stuck more to his Achilles the Greek character, or taken the match more seriously. Caught between the two ends of the spectrum, he had a tough time getting going. Stevens did not, and busted open the RRW newcomer before a Maple Leaf Meltdown ended what was otherwise a rather dull and average bout.

Terrance Stevens (1-0) def. George Mastachas (0-1) via Pinfall (Maple Leaf Meltdown) in 12:23. Rating: **
Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR + 4.10, XP + 485.94, no notable damage
Changes for George Mastachas: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.49, minor damage to head

YELLOW DIVISION
Yoshii Nakamatsu (0-0, OVR 448) vs. Brian Blackfield (0-0, OVR 448)

This would be the rubber match between the two divisional opponents, as they split the series a season ago. Blackfield relied on his strikes for the most part, while Nakamatsu mixed holds in with his strikes. For the better part of ten minutes, it was a back-and-forth affair with neither man getting an edge. That changed when Blackfield managed a three-minute spurt of offense, capped off by an implant DDT that Nakamatsu kicked out of before the count of two. Yoshii would connect with a DEVASTATION Knee shortly after, and turned the match in his favor for the next few minutes. But as he went for a DDT of his own, Blackfield broke free and hit a DDT of his own to stun Nakamatsu. A Scotland Destroyer followed in short order, and Blackfield picked up the win, already making a statement that he would not be satisfied with missing the playoffs a second season running.

Brian Blackfield (1-0) def. Yoshii Nakamatsu (0-1) via Pinfall (Scotland Destroyer) in 18:02. Rating: **
Changes for Brian Blackfield: OVR + 4.42, XP + 488.66, minor damage to head
Changes for Yoshii Nakamatsu: OVR -0.08, XP + 122.16, minor damage to head

Otto von Schwarz (0-0, OVR 453) vs. Lance Heartilly (0-0, OVR 443)

Tess Bradenbury: Folks, it’s been an interesting night of action to open up RRW for season two, but coming up next, our reigning champion begins his title defense!

Johnny Tyler: That’s right, the road to 18-0 starts right here!

Tess Bradenbury: You’re being rather bold in your prediction, Johnny.

Johnny Tyler: And why shouldn’t I be? Until it’s proven that someone can beat him, why not set a sky high expectation?

Tess Bradenbury: I shouldn’t even have to tell you in how many ways you’re just wrong there, Johnny, but be that as it may...let’s head up to the ring to get this one started, as we’re still having some technical difficulties with getting our competitor’s themes to play over the speakers here on Fight Island.

Johnny Tyler: (Sotto voce) More like we couldn’t get the licensing for them, most likely.

Johnny Tyler: It’s all part of Heartilly’s plan, Tess. Lull the big guy into a false sense of security, take out the knee, and bam! Hellacious Leglock, one win down and fifteen to go!

Tess Bradenbury: While the Arm Breaker might not be the Hellacious Leglock, Johnny, you’re right about one thing. After being on the defensive to start the bout, Heartilly has found a groove here and the defending RRW Champion looks like he hasn’t missed a beat since taking over the match. GREEN DIVISION
Daniel Simmons (0-0, OVR 450) vs. Devil's Delight (0-0, OVR 400)

This would be Delight’s first match in about a year. Not only was there ring rust from the epidemic-induced hiatus, but she still hadn’t gotten back in full physical shape after her two years in rehab to get clean. So to say that anyone expected her to make a match out of this would be a stretch of the truth.

But she came to fight, and pushed Simmons farther than even he expected. While Simmons held the offense for most of the match, Delight showed some signs of brilliance, countering a Blue Collar Driver with a slap to the chest and then delivering her enzuigiri kick to the left shoulder of Simmons, followed up by a low blow. At this point, all it would take were a couple more strikes and Simmons would have been vulnerable for Purgatory’s End. But she taunted one time too many, and even her sister at ringside was powerless to stop Simmons as he applied his Quitting Time submission and forced the tap out. While the end result was expected, perhaps the pundits were wrong in just presuming Delight would go winless this entire season. After all, if she was just one move away against Simmons, who’s to say she couldn’t make it happen later in the season?

GREEN DIVISION
Glenn Knight (0-0, OVR 446) vs. Lord Robert Abernathy (0-0, OVR 450)

Knight came into the contest with a 2-0 record over Abernathy in the previous season, and a serious chip on his shoulder in the form of the 17-0 humiliation he suffered in the championship match at the end of last season. Abernathy came in knowing the road to the playoffs in the Green Division ran through Knight, and he was determined to solve the puzzle in front of him and start the second season with a victory.

It would not be on this night, however. While the contest was back-and-forth, it wasn’t very exciting and ended with a single Promise delivered to the left temple of Abernathy. That’s really all there was to this match, folks.

Glenn Knight (1-0) def. Lord Robert Abernathy (0-1) via Pinfall (The Promise) in 12:55. Rating: **

Faarooq Mahal Jr. (0-0, OVR 400) vs. “Herr Doktor” Hans Nitschke (0-0, OVR 400)

Folks, I’m going to level with you here. I did not consciously set this match up to happen this season. FMJ and Doktor are in different conferences, so at best they’d face each other once every four seasons, unless it was the tag tournament or the RRW Championship match. This season, though, the Blue Division faces every person in the Black Division, and that’s where these two reside. I just plug names in the template and let things work from there.

But enough about this, I’m sure you’re more interested in the match itself. Wish I had more to say about it. This was a decidedly one-sided affair that Mahal controlled the majority of. While Nitschke managed a few decent blows, FMJ stuck to his technical strengths (peppered with a few blows of…questionable effectiveness) and eventually submitted the Doktor with a Full Metal Jacket to end the first week of the season. The only thing to note is that if Doktor’s head hadn’t gone into yellow health just two moves before the submission was applied, the random roll would have let Nitschke break out of the hold. That little bit of extra damage was just enough for FMJ to emerge victorious tonight.

Faarooq Mahal Jr. (1-0) def. Hans Nitschke (0-1) via Submission (Full Metal Jacket) in 11:55. Rating: *
Changes for Faarooq Mahal Jr.: OVR + 2.88, XP + 445.24, no notable damage
Changes for Hans Nitschke: OVR -0.87, XP + 94.61, minor damage to head

A programming note:

Effective starting this week, weekly shows will be posted on Sunday. Having the extra weekend day to knock out matches I can’t run before having to be at the office will be helpful to my mental state. Plus not having to cram everything into one day will allow some wiggle room in case RL decides to interfere.

SEASON TWO, WEEK TWO

SUBMISSION MATCH
Sven Ulafsson (0-1, OVR 434) vs. Billy Norris (1-0, OVR 455)

This match, between a pair of men not known for their submission prowess, was a rather poor way to open the week two show. This was more of a brawl than anything, and wasn’t particularly interesting in any manner. The finish came when Norris went for a sort of single-leg Boston crab, slipped in the process, and landed knee-first into the crotch of Ulafsson, who quickly gave up afterwards. Not the greatest and most noble of submission victories, but Norris decided to take what he had already gotten and move on to week three still undefeated in the young season.

Billy Norris (2-0) def. Sven Ulafsson (0-2) via Submission (forced submission) in 16:00. Rating: **
Changes for Billy Norris: OVR + 4.31, XP + 487.68. no notable damage
Changes for Sven Ulafsson: OVR -0.08, XP + 121.92, minor damage to head

YELLOW DIVISION
Brian Blackfield (1-0, OVR 452) vs. Elyssa Anderson (0-1, OVR 428)

Last season, Blackfield had swept the series against Anderson, the first of which was a Tables match that went under ten minutes. This was closer to their second encounter, but just as unmemorable. Anderson surprisingly controlled most of the match, even weathering through a Blackfield adrenaline rush about thirteen minutes in, before a second Point of Attack was enough to keep Blackfield down for three. The one thing to note was that Anderson focused the majority of her offense on the head of her opponent, which could lead to long-term wear on her opponents as the weeks progress.

Elyssa Anderson (1-1) def. Brian Blackfield (1-1) via Pinfall (Point of Attack) in 16:04. Rating: **
Changes for Elyssa Anderson: OVR + 4.31, XP + 487.71, minor damage to head
Changes for Brian Blackfield: OVR -0.08, XP + 121.93, major damage to head

EUROPEAN RULES
Lord Robert Abernathy (0-1, OVR 450) vs. Vladimir Chavinski (0-1, OVR 425)

Due to the nature of a European Rules match, and how much longer than a normal match they tend to take, RRW officials decided to try something different for this one. This match actually started at the same time as Norris vs. Ulafsson, but was displayed as a picture-in-picture in a corner of the screen while the other matches (and associated commercials) were going on. A separate feed on YouTube would show this match in its’ entirety, with notes scrolling along the bottom of the screen when a match ended on the “main” show.

They probably should have picked a better contest to give this a try with. It took seven rounds before anything interesting happened, and that was Chavinski coming out of his corner at the very start of the round to drive Abernathy into the mat with a piledriver. That would be the first, and last, highlight Chavinski would have in this match. It was Abernathy domination otherwise. A submission fall with God Save the Queen just before the end of the eighth round, and a Shatterfall halfway through the tenth would be enough for Abernathy to claim victory on this night. Though this match does now have the distinction of being the second-longest European Rules match held during an RRW regular season.

Lord Robert Abernathy (1-1) def. Vladimir Chavinski (0-2), Two Falls to None, in 48:24. Rating: *
Fall One: Abernathy, via Submission (God Save the Queen), 39:47
Fall Two: Abernathy, via pinfall (Shatterfall), 48:24
Changes for Lord Robert Abernathy: OVR + 4.34, XP + 461.30, moderate damage to head, minor damage to body
Changes for Vladimir Chavinski: OVR -1.32, XP + 115.32, major damage to head, minor damage to body

Lance Heartilly (0-1, OVR 444) vs. Jimmy Anarchy (0-1, OVR 418)

This was largely a one-sided affair, with Heartilly controlling a major part of the match. The main reason this actually got about a two-star level was due to two events happening. The first was, after the ref recovered from being squashed in the corner by Heartilly, Lance countered The Purge from Anarchy with a Heartilly Arm Breaker, which came as a total shock to those watching as it was so unexpected. The second is that Anarchy managed to escape the Hellacious Leglock by trying to pull himself backwards at the perfect moment when Heartilly tried to lean back to increase the pressure. (Game note: With modifiers, Lance had to roll under a 958 to get the win, and rolled 964.) Incensed, Heartilly gave up all pretense of going for a submission, instead simply punching Anarchy in the crotch and scoring a pinfall victory in that manner, to the chagrin of the official in the ring.

Lance Heartilly (1-1) def. Jimmy Anarchy (0-2) via Pinfall (Low Blow) in 14:42. Rating: **
Changes for Lance Heartilly: OVR + 4.23, XP + 487.06, no notable damage
Changes for Jimmy Anarchy: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.76, minor damage to head and arms

TABLES MATCH
Glenn Knight (1-0, OVR 451) vs. Diamond Steel (0-1, OVR 438)

This was a slugfest from the opening bell. The number of holds that were applied could be counted on one hand. It was subtle, but Steel started to get the upper hand after being woken up by a Think Fast! from Knight. An amusing part of the match saw Steel counter a kick to her thigh with a kick to Glenn’s, then her attempted running clothesline was countered into a running forearm blow from Glenn, and a few seconds later Glenn’s discus punch was avoided, just for Steel to land a discus punch of her own. It seemed like these two were in lockstep throughout, until the end. Steel broke a DDT by shoving Knight off of her, and he ended up falling awkwardly between the ropes, getting a leg caught tied up between the bottom two strands. This gave Steel enough time to throw a table into the ring, set up just one side of it, and put Knight through it with a stump piledriver to claim the victory in what would be the fourth-shortest gimmick match in RRW history.

Diamond Steel (1-1) def. Glenn Knight (1-1) via Table Breaking (stump piledriver) in 10:37. Rating: **
Changes for Diamond Steel: OVR + 4.00, XP + 485.10, minor damage to head
Changes for Glenn Knight: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.27, minor damage to head

Hailey Carmichael (1-0, OVR 443) vs. “Herr Doktor” Hans Nitschke (0-1, OVR 399)

This ended up being a very enjoyable, back-and-forth match to watch, although Maven Deltzer was noted for criticizing that “this match had two heels fighting each other. Who are the viewers supposed to cheer for, Leslie Burrell or the walking corpse at ringside” when his review went up later in the day. Semantics aside, this was a good bout in which both competitors hit their trademark moves early. Carmichael locked in her VSCOverleaf early, really sapping Doktor’s stamina (which until that point was still mostly full). About two minutes later, Doktor connected with his Invasive Procedure and swing the match in his favor. Carmichael would fight back, being the first to attempt to apply a finisher. Doktor was able to get to the ropes before #NoFilter was applied, and it would end up being the turning point. A couple of minutes later, Doktor had clawed his way back into the match enough that he managed to connect with the Euthanasia Driver on the first attempt, and pick up the first win of his RRW career in what many called the honorable mention for match of the night honors.

Hans Nitschke (1-1) def. Hailey Carmichael (1-1) via Pinfall (Euthanasia Driver) in 20:27. Rating: **
Changes for Hans Nitschke: OVR + 4.56, XP + 416.34, minor damage to head
Changes for Hailey Carmichael: OVR -0.08, XP + 104.09, minor damage to head

Jun Onoo (0-1, OVR 435) vs. Sterling Silver (0-1, OVR 421)

Another perfect average wrestling match here, with the quicker Sterling Silver using her speed to avoid a lot of the heavy blows Onoo was trying to land. While he did his shots in, including several shoulder rams in the corner that looked to try to cut Silver in half, the luchadora was able to keep the pace in her favor, wear out Onoo, and connect with her 450 splash to claim victory in what was otherwise a dull contest.

Sterling Silver (1-1) def. Jun Onoo (0-2) via Pinfall (On Wings of Silver) in 10:19. Rating: **
Changes for Sterling Silver: OVR + 3.98, XP + 484.95, no notable damage
Changes for Jun Onoo: OVR -0.07, XP + 121.24, minor damage to head and body

Brandy McDonald (0-1, OVR 453) vs. Yoshii Nakamatsu (0-1, OVR 448)

When the schedule was released, many had this match circled as one to watch. After all, it was Nakamatsu who eliminated the number one overall seed from the RRW playoffs last season by winning a two-out-of-three falls match via blood stoppage. Many presumed that McDonald would come into the match a bit more aggressive and looking for revenge.

The exact opposite happened. McDonald stuck to her strengths, and focused on a gameplan she obviously had in mind that involved letting Nakamatsu try to set his own pace and just avoid as much as she could. By and large, it worked as she had Nakamatsu worn down about twelve minutes in to attempt a Brandy With a Twist, only for Nakamatsu to break free and take control of the match. She wouldn’t get another chance. A few minutes later, Nakamatsu delivered the Emperor’s Fall, and that quickly, the most dominant wrestler in the regular season a few months ago was 0-2 on the new season. Was this a sign of larger problems with Brandy McDonald?

Yoshii Nakamatsu (1-1) def. Brandy McDonald (0-2) via Pinfall (Emperor’s Fall) in 15:06. Rating: **
Changes for Yoshii Nakamatsu: OVR + 4.26, XP + 487.25, minor damage to head
Changes for Brandy McDonald: OVR -0.08, XP + 121.81, minor damage to head

Devil's Delight (0-1, OVR 400) vs. Jack “Classic” Braddock (1-0, OVR 452)

After the showing she had last week, in nearly pulling off an upset, Delight had the unenviable task this week of facing Jack Braddock. It went about as well as you’d expect. Delight was able to attempt her Hellborne Rising enzuigiri once, only for Braddock to step back to avoid contact and kick at the thigh of Delight instead. The remainder of the match was academic, and Braddock soon dispatched the underdog with a Jack Attack.

Jack Braddock (2-0) def. Devil's Delight (0-2) via Pinfall (Jack Attack) in 12:24. Rating: 2
Changes for Jack Braddock: OVR + 4.10, XP + 485.95, no notable damage
Changes for Devil's Delight: OVR -0.07, XP + 103.26, moderate damage to head

HARDCORE MATCH
Mel O'Hallister (1-0, OVR 404) vs. Pulsar (0-1, OVR 454)

When I went to copy the play-by-play from WS3 to Office, I kept getting clipboard errors and the text wouldn’t transfer over. I’m not about to try to manually type out about a hundred lines of actions from the match just so I can follow that up with adding commentary and the like for it. So sadly, your Match of the Night this week is just going to be summarized.

As seems to be the norm in RRW, Hardcore bouts just mean “no weapons, no DQs, go crazy with the nut shots.” O’Hallister certainly got that memo, delivering no fewer than a dozen combined legdrops, headbutts, and punches to the groin of Pulsar during this match. An Irish Clover submission yielded no joy for O’Hallister, who went back to the striking game. Despite a couple of attempts to land a Dream of the Emerald Isle, Pulsar managed to thwart every attempt, wore O’Hallister down, and went upstairs for his Zodiac Implosion.

And landed hard on the upper part of his back when O’Hallister moved out of the way. Mel had the opening, and looked to seize it with that reverse DDT of his, but again Pulsar was able to fight through the adversity (and another low blow by O’Hallister), finally stun the Irishman, and connect with a Zodiac Implosion to win the only semi-memorable contest of the evening, and eventually the Match of the Night.

Pulsar (1-1) def. Mel O'Hallister (1-1) via Pinfall (Zodiac Implosion) in 15:25. Rating: ***
Changes for Pulsar: OVR + 5.53, XP + 603.02, minor damage to head and body
Changes for Mel O'Hallister: OVR + 0.77, XP + 207.00, moderate damage to head
This was the Match of the Night (1 [1 this season] for Pulsar, 1 [1 this season] for Mel O'Hallister)

Indigo Rose (1-0, OVR 425) vs. Reverend Johnny Gross (1-0, OVR 449)

This would have been a better fit to open the show with as a submission match, featuring two submission finishing moves. Rev. Gross used his striking by and large to wear down Rose to better effect than Rose was able to use her technical skills to wear down Gross, but it was a fairly even match up until about the thirteen minute mark. At that point, Gross was simply out-damaging Rose with his strikes and various choke holds, and Rose was only able to do so much to fight against it before she fell victim to Gross’ dragon sleeper submission.

Reverend Johnny Gross (2-0) def. Indigo Rose (1-1) via Submission (Come to Jesus) in 18:06. Rating: **
Changes for Reverend Johnny Gross: OVR + 4.43, XP + 488.69, no notable damage
Changes for Indigo Rose: OVR -0.08, XP + 122.17, minor damage to head

Otto von Schwarz (1-0, OVR 459) vs. El Tornado (1-0, OVR 437)

Most people would presume that the larger man would have the advantage in this contest. Most people, though, aren’t El Tornado, who simply took it to von Schwarz throughout the entire contest. Often landing two or three blow to von Schwarz’s one, Tornado was about to outpace the big man with his speed and lucha-style offense, though on a couple of occasions he had to avoid that big Gute Nacht chop of von Schwarz. At fourteen minutes in, Tornado leapt up to the turnbuckles, looking to end thigs with a Tornado Splash, but Hans Meyer picked that moment to jump in as the first manager interference of season two, shoving Tornado off the top rope. He was summarily ejected from the ringside area, and in the end proved to be a fruitless attempt. It took just four more minutes for Tornado to stun Otto long enough to go up top again, and this time the Tornado Splash connected to give him a minor upset victory over the defending Red Division champion.

El Tornado (2-0) def. Otto von Schwarz (1-1) via Pinfall (Tornado Splash) in 17:23. Rating: **
Changes for El Tornado: OVR + 4.39, XP + 488.34, minor damage to head and body

Terrance Stevens (1-0, OVR 446) vs. Markus Clay (1-0, OVR 447)

This one was almost over before it even began. Stevens never really got going, while Clay had the offense going from the start. This was essentially a squash match, capped off by Clay getting the pin after a simple spear in what would become the third-fastest match in RRW history, just missing out on second place by two seconds. For Stevens, though, he’s now lost two of the three quickest matches in RRW—his 6:18 loss to Blood River in week nine of the first season remains the mark atop the quickest finishes list.

Markus Clay (2-0) def. Terrance Stevens (1-1) via Pinfall (Spear) in 7:51. Rating: *
Changes for Markus Clay: OVR + 2.71, XP + 443.45, no notable damage
Changes for Terrance Stevens: OVR -0.83, XP + 110.86, minor damage to head

Daniel Simmons (1-0, OVR 454) vs. Angela Wassermann (1-0, OVR 403)

This was a dreadful bout to watch. Wassermann seemed outclassed from the start, and Simmons never gave he many chances to get into the match. It was drat near a squash, capped off with a Blue Collar Driver to give Simmons his second win on the season.

Daniel Simmons (2-0) def. Angela Wassermann (1-1) via Pinfall (Blue Collar Driver) in 14:03. Rating: *
Changes for Daniel Simmons: OVR + 2.96, XP + 446.18, no notable damage
Changes for Angela Wassermann: OVR -0.9, XP + 111.55, minor damage to head

Faarooq Mahal Jr. (1-0, OVR 403) vs. Blood River (0-1, OVR 431)

This one was just marginally better than the previous match. It was a little closer competition-wise, but not by much. FMJ controlled most of the match, eventually getting River to submit to the Full Metal Jacket in what was otherwise a bout worthy of a pre-main event bathroom and concessions run.

Faarooq Mahal Jr. (2-0) def. Blood River (0-2) via Submission (Full Metal Jacket) in 17:43. Rating: *
Changes for Faarooq Mahal Jr.: OVR + 3.11, XP + 447.80, no notable damage
Changes for Blood River: OVR -0.95, XP + 95.16, no notable damage

WHITE DIVISION
Eugene Nagata (1-0, OVR 429) vs. George Mastachas (0-1, OVR 400)

The show ended on a sour note, as for the fourth match in a row, it was a heavily one-sided affair. Nagata had trouble stringing together sustained stretches of offense, while Mastachas seemed to land his strikes with ease and break whatever holds Eugene was attempting. It took George a little longer than he probably would have liked, but he finally managed to keep Nagata down after a Wrath of Zeus to finish the show on a personal high note, even if the match quality was severely lacking.

George Mastachas (1-1) def. Eugene Nagata (1-1) via Pinfall (Wrath of Zeus) in 19:14. Rating: *
Changes for George Mastachas: OVR + 3.17, XP + 448.46, no notable damage
Changes for Eugene Nagata: OVR -0.96, XP + 95.30, minor damage to head and body
