Wanted to say for the Olsen tweet; I think it can be bad to get overly excited for violent revolution in the same way people hoping for the US to balkanize are kind of just naïve how much that would suck for them. But can definitely see how it is tone deaf.

Ugh seeing that reminds me how much I was into thinking the Roman Empire was the epitome of civilization from 10 to about 21 years old I remember being on the Ancient History thread going on how even their slavery was better than chattel slavery of the American South. Thank God I never found 4chan because I was also in that edgy South Park phase where I was playing the axis a lot in rts games. Got out of fash and being a lovely libertarian by the time I realized how annoying those people were in real life and also got back into catholicism

It's possible that I just got a lot of lovely teachers by chance, but it seems like those sort of "write what I already think or be deducted points" types are more common than not. At least figuring that out around the middle of sophomore year made the rest of high school and college way easier. Like I feel you just can't grade English classes as objectively as they are.

My ranks for Fallout New Vegas DLC is: Honest Hearts (because I spent 3 months in Utah working in the conservation corps hoping to end up in Zion, but ended up in Bryce, though after I was done my parents did take me to Zion while we stayed a week in Vegas) Dead Money (Love the characters and the background and the Holorifle; I can never kill Dean even though objectively he is a horrible horrible person) OWB (again love the characters and dialogue) Lonesome Road (just bored with it) For Main New Vegas really wish there was a way to do Kings and Followers ending (not independent); hell that's another thing hbomb missed, the two best factions in the game! Also for something completely different; I've been thinking how intoxicating it is to get to get in those online youtube/podcast/streaming bubbles, because it seems so attainable to contact these folks to get on their stuff. I guess it comes from how back in the CA days I somehow got involved in Lordkat's justin.tv stream and there is something about how having access to that kind of circle of people when you don't have a social life whatsoever becomes addicting.
