I kinda had a feeling, there were some obvious changes in her presentation in her past few videos which caused a lot of (inappropriate) speculation from "fans" about whether she had started hormones. I'm super happy for her now and hopefully the *other* parasocial segment of her fanbase that spams her chat with gross sexual comments will calm down a bit...or find another online man to obsess over.

One of my favorite recent youtube discoveries, munecat, released Part 2 of her Tony Robbins video. It is fantastic, well-researched and holy poo poo this guy is a terrifying cult leader it is unbelievable how popular he is. Like Dr. Phil mixed with Alex Jones mixed with Jim Jones. So are we placing bets on when Abigail from Philosophy Tube gets twitter-mobbed? She's like the only big ~breadtuber~ who hasn't been (hbomberguy doesn't count because you can't get cancelled if you don't make content) and since she's a woman on the internet she's got a bigger target on her back now. Not saying she's likely to do anything wrong but if Jenny Nicholson is getting dragged around for every other thing she says it's only a matter of time for Abi.

Glenn Greenwald is a libertarian so he can't not be way too concerned about age-of-consent laws. He's also said some TERFy poo poo about lesbian extinction and supporting the Shrier lady who wrote the stupid book about saving teenage girls from the trans menace. Also seems to be vying for the alt-right audience and goes on Tucker Carlson's show to crow about whatever thing those craaaaazy SJW liberals are up to these days. Lindsay Ellis seeing through his bullshit is a point in Lindsay's favor.

Blocking twitter links forum-wide is the single greatest thing that can be done to increase the quality and decrease the toxicity. everywhere. Half the threads will probably die because they're just reposting and reacting to tweets, but it is a price worth paying to have one tiny corner of the internet free of that writhing mass of eldritch horror that consumes all other content in its wake.

My theory is that a series based around, well, wars, and pitting groups of characters in direct opposition to each other inspires more hatred among its fans than one where the premise is a group of characters trying to keep the peace.

Problem with Nebula (and with the premium content world in general) is that there are multiple other similar platforms like Curiosity Stream and MagellanTV and I'm not going to subscribe to a bunch of different services just to watch a few creators on each who put out one video a month.
