For only having a population of about 2 million people, the Steel City sure has sent a lot of guys to the NFL. This is the best roster that I can assemble with guys who were born within the seven county Pittsburgh metropolitan area using names across all eras:

RB1 Tony Dorsett: '77 RotY HoF 1994
RB2 Curtis Martin: '95 RotY HoF 2012
RB3 Chuck Muncie
PS Mercury Morris

Honorable mention: Dick Hoak, Penn State legend, 10 year NFL vet and long time Steelers RB coach
Did you know these guys are Yinzers?: LaRod Howlings-Stevens, Miles Sanders

WR1 Brandon Marshall
WR2 Tyler Boyd
WR3 Steve Breaston

TE1 Mike Ditka: RotY '61 HoF 1988
TE2 Jesse James: he caught that ball

OT1 Joe Stydahar: 1967 HoF This guy is described as the 1st dominant NFL lineman
OT2 Jimbo Covert 2020 HoF lol
Swing Brian Baldinger: current NFL commentator (played for: Cowboys, Colts, Eagles)

Did you know this guy is a Yinzer: Jonathan Martin of the Richie Incognito bullying incident

G1 Russ Grimm: HoF 2010
G2 Bill Fralic: CFB HoF, described as the best guard in CFB history, one of the bigger NFL HoF snubs
Swing Jahri Evans

Honorable mention: Stephan Wisiniewski

Stephan Wisiniewski is the most Pittsburgh name in this list. Tyler Palko is up there, but lacks that pop that an unspellable surname ending with -ski gives you.

Looks like it's going to be Luke Rhodes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_Rhodes

Also wish for a better TE than Ditka, but you can't have everything, I guess

Good roster. It's funny to me that all the best NFL quarterbacks have come from just three general areas of the country: The West Coast, the Gulf Coast, and Western PA. I'm sure that'll change eventually with the passage of time, but right now Canton is stuffed with guys from just these three places!

Send QB coaches to the Republic of Georgia. People are predisposed to big hands over there it seems and every other kid I gave a football to could huck a perfect spiral 25 yards on like their second attempt.

It'd be fun to have half of the teams QBs in 30 years have a name that ends in shvili. "Wait, is it Georgishvili in Chicago and Junghashvili in Minnesota or..."

I was also shocked by the linebacker talent out of SW PA too. Just insane
