Krull is a cheeky bastard. Let's be even cheekier and prepare our Defenses to welcome him!Jonny Nox posted:It does answer my question about whether Krull is capturable. Seems not. I like to imagine he send his goons to die into those tunnels and when no-one came back, just awkwardly walked away, humming to himself

Journal of King Grey Hunter I. - Part 12 – Grand Walls. Winter, Year 27 It is time to once more look to our defences. I plug the hole Krull used last time to enter the tunnels. The wall will also be expanded to cover all of the expanded miner town. And the north. This seems to be a good idea, as Krull is once more on the prowl. Spring. Year 28 The wall is nearly completed when the scouts report the advance. I order the men to form up! They March on Minertown. We form up in tight formation, our flanks protected by the wall. Krull advances. The lines clash, we outnumber them – Krull has only brought 50 men! The fight is short and sweet. With minertown so busy, I expand the toilets. A new tavern is also needed. Autumn, Year 28 The city centre is also in need of more lavatories. Spring. Year 29 The tavern is complete! Winter, Year 29 Both the northern and southern toilets are now working. Seriously mate? Well, it's nearly the time for the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of Minas Baul. How shall we mark this event? A – The formation of a Nobility. B – The building of a grand feasting hall C – the building of a grand library for research.

Journal of King Grey Hunter I. - Part 13 – The Halls of Knowlage! Spring, Year 30. The people have decided they wish to see a grand library – why I do not know, most of them can't read! But I have commissioned one anyway. We will need paper, so a paperworks goes in as well. Our people are smelling more ripe than usual, so another bath house is needed. Winter, Year 30. Minertown needs a bathhouse as well. We are running low of cut stone, so another masons is needed. Summer, Year 31 The masons and paperworks open for business! The library opens soon after. 8 scribes from a population of 800 is not much, but they will soon be researching improvements for our people! Spring, Year 32. Our bathhouse is open. I order another tavern to try and feed the people. The library is to small to hold the knowledge needed to even reach the first level of research. So expansion is ordered. Autumn, Year 32 The tavern opens, and being on a busy road, is full immediately. The minertown bathhouse is complete. An underground tavern should help people on the long journey between Minas Baul and Minertown. Summer, Year 32 The Undermountain Inn is finished. We are churning through stone at a ferocious rate. Our population passes 900, and space is beginning to get tight! Winter, Year 33. Feeding our people properly is becoming an issue, so I order a massive kitchen to try an turn our large food supplies into cooked rations! Summer, Year 34 Despite having 14 days of food in stores, everone suddenly decides they are starving, and happiness tanks! No, I had that wrong – it was indignation that their king had walled the masons in to die. I fix the problem, with only 9 deaths of starvation – but 50 other people flee my tyranny! Winter, Year 34. Krull will be facing 200 well.... well, trained troops. The kitchen and the Libary complete at the same time. We await Krull. It's time to see what these walls are worth, as Krull brings 100 men to the fight! They march on the gates, and we form to meet them. The fence gets in the way, and they swarm through the gate. The battle of the bathhouse begins. The building is damaged during the fighting, and will need some repairs. But Krull and his bandits are driven off once more! Our people are unhappy – while the dead will be buried, we need better rations – which will be given by the new kitchen, more (always more) toilets, and nobles. I shall attempt to address these needs next time.

Ahh ok, with most screenshots being zoomed in on one or two buildings at a time, its easy to imagine the entire map being covered by toilets, bath houses. and taverns at this point. Could you post a zoomed out shot of the whole city during daytime? Thanks!

Do we have to worry about the mines running dry or forests chopped down? Do we have to expand like in Factorio to satisfy the industry's demand?

Love how you can build a trash garbage library that does nothing Also, "starving people don't work" seems like it can turn into a death spiral if you need people to work the kitchens, but they won't... On top of that, it's funny much central planning is involved in this feodalism game. At least in Stronghold, people have their own houses and you don't have to make soup kitchens for them.

Just where does this bandit keep keep getting all of these dudes from? At some point you'd think our settlement would get a reputation as a bandit blender and they'd stop bumrushing us with bandits.

Journal of King Grey Hunter I. - Part 14 – Noble dreams -and toilets Spring, Year 35. With space inside the walls at a premium, I order the large section of mountain removed. The top left dormitories are poorly used now, and of wood, so these three shall be demolished in favour of houses for our new nobility! The land is cleared. And the new construction begins. Made of our finest stones, each of these rooms need gems – which I ordered imported a while ago for this very occasion! Summer, Year 36 Construction is slow – its fine detail work, but this area is clear now! Winter, Year 36 A new, grand lavatory is built. Spring, Year 37. The first three chambers are finished! Though I may have future proofed ourselves a bit to much here! (This is a new feature I had not looked into!) Our feast hall is old and decreped. I remove two fertile fields to add in a new, much grander one! Spring, Year 37. Cut stone is a shortage, so I expand to a third masons yard. Summer, Year 38 I must be doing something right, as our population hits 1000! Roderick Dragonborn becomes our first noble, and master of industry! His appointment makes the Cretoians happy! Spring, Year 39. An expanded kitchen and a new bathhouse open on the main road. The masons follow soon after. Autumn, Year 39. A stone mine is constructed under the mountain. I also widen the roads here. Winter, Year 39 The people rejoice as the new feasting hall opens! Minas Baul has a population of 1,100 people, and I humming along. I just don't seem to be able to sort the eating service and ration problems! We have 12 days of food, and lots of taverns and kitchens, but they don't seem to be being used! Taking a screenshot of the whole city is impossible, here is one stitched together form about 20 shots. What should I do next?

Go on a forum to ask what the hell is the eating issue I shudder to think whether this game lists weight and height as just fluff detail, or if there are gameplay stuff tied to those.
