It's why their phonebanking campaign has barely got off the ground, which is kind of a problem because it's where they're getting all their voter information and policy polling from.

Went to Tesco, and saw that they do chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, and triple chocolate chip cookies, which makes me wonder - who actually buys the double chocolate ones? Seems like with cookies, you either want them to be a bit chocolatey or as chocolatey as is humanly possible. Is there in fact a thriving market for chocolate centrism?

I really wish they'd do one of those Games Workshop hack and slash games where you get to be a champion of Chaos rather than an agent of the Empire/Imperium. C'mon, RPG customisation where you get to pick your god and become progressively more mutated would be rad as hell. Let me play as a Warrior of Slaanesh and obliterate an entire screenful of enemies in a tastefully-scented murder-orgy, or a Sorcerer of Tzeentch who turns the entire enemy army inside out and then makes them eat each other.

There are games like this yet to be made that are going to be brilliant. But not now.
The problem with making them right now is that its a hell of lot of complexity.
There is a reason why most game figures are human shaped, fat tall ones for Orcs, small for dwarves, thin for elves, etc, as its easy to make assets for them.
Adding in tentacles, third, forth, multiple limbs, horns, etc, explodes the work needed to make fiddly stuff for them like armor or animations.
Whereas you can basically just stretch or squish them for the usual lot of fantasy species.

I mean, just having them as part of your gear (or have you grow them for specific attacks) in a Diablo clone would be fine. They already go part of the way there in Inquisitor, where tech-priests, for instance, can end up with quite different models and animations from armour set to armour set. The precise detail of the character model is never the most interesting thing in a hack and slash.

The Fudge Shop is open!

Hey guys, super stoked to report that Fudjit is now fully back in operation! There are currently six flavours stocked on the website, and we will be adding several new ones each week going forwards!

And though I say it myself, this is probably the best fudge I’ve made so far- the new kitchen is working out really well :)

We have four popular flavours as well as two brand new ones available. These are:

* Original Vanilla
* Milk Chocolate
* Dark Chocolate
* Chocolate Orange
* Toblerone - everyone’s favourite triangular treat combined with our smoothest fudge. The honey nougat has melted into the fudge to give a slight chew and subtle background flavour
* Pretzelicious - chocolate dipped pretzels enrobed in slightly salted fudge, for a great combo of salt and sweet, smoothness and crunch.

Going forwards the goal is to introduce an ‘experimental’ flavour at least several times a month- if there’s any flavour you’d like me to try out making please let me know either here or via email to Fudjit.orders@gmail.com and I’ll see what can be done!

All stock is now live and for sale at https://www.fudjit.co.uk - use the special goon discount code ‘roastbeefisbest’ to get five bags for the price of four :)

I am sad to report however that I’m currently not able to ship outside of the UK. I know there are several fudge fans on the mainland, and I’m deeply sorry that our government has hosed up your fudge supply. As soon as I find a solution, I will let you know

Happy fudging, guys and gals

The whiskey and ginger was excellent, so I'd like to see that making a comeback, and I deeply regret never trying the Irish cream.

One thing worth considering, though, is how much influence the membership has over the direction of the party. This is one of the fundamental problems killing Labour - it's been profoundly undemocratic ever since Kinnock's reforms, making it unsuitable as a vehicle for a popular left-wing insurgency. Look at how quickly and easily the right-wing shitlords were able to take back control despite being a minority within the party who everyone hates. The Greens, on the other hand (and the Lib Dems, although that brand seems irrevocably tainted for the foreseeable future) seem to have a much healthier internal democracy, meaning that they're open to some good old-fashioned entryism from a tide of angry lefties. The current leadership may be poo poo and useless, but I'm not clear on how well fortified they are against an influx of Labour refugees, if they come ready and willing to grab what power they can.

One important lesson to the left should be the value of ruthlessness and opportunism. If the leadership of all the national parties is poo poo, go for the ones that you and your mates can overthrow, sideline, or otherwise bend to your purposes most easily.

- Wasted time defining himself as 'not being Corbyn' when this was blindingly obvious already
- Has failed to put the Tories on the defensive re: their blatant failures on Covid and Brexit

I actually dispute this - one of the things about the Labour right is that they are actually a pretty fractious bunch, and most importantly *not actually that popular within the party*. This is why Starmer had to run as a pretend leftist to win - the actual open candidate of the right, Jess Phillips, melted down almost instantly. Turns out the right got what they wanted in the end anyway but only because Keith hoodwinked a bunch of people.

The Labour right have be advantage of having a strong powerbase in he party via HQ staffers and councillors, and now several top positions like General Secretary. The problem however I that the wider membership and the public *loving hate them* which is why they go down like a wet fart whenever they put themselve publicly forward. The only way they can get ahead is by transparently lying about what they're about, which someone like Yvette Cooper, as a committed Brownite, would never do I think.

I think Rachel Reeves Vs Lisa Nandy is the upcoming leadership struggle within the party (with someone from the left opposing them) with Rachel Reeves continuing down the Miliband/Starmer style low risk path and Nandy going more full bore Blue Labour, more economically radical but also more openly racist.

Reeves has never been a stranger to open bigotry. Remember when she said Labour shouldn't and didn't represent people on benefits?

I think it's genuinely worth remembering how organisationally crippled Labour is as a vehicle for any of the purposes of a political party, let alone a left-wing one. Kinnock and Blair destroyed its functionality, destroyed the tools necessary to rebuild its functionality, and essentially turned it into a machine for petty middle-management bigots to be paid to bully people. Most of the left's victories over the past thirty years have been despite Labour as an organisation, not because of it, even when those lefties were members of Labour. It desperately needs to go the way of the Liberal Party if we want some shot at political representation.

Like, seriously, I'm on benefits due to chronic disabilities. In 2015, the Labour Shadow Secretary for Work And Pensions (the public's leading democratic representative against the government in matters related to welfare) said that her party should and would not represent people like me in the upcoming general election, at a time when the UK was facing international condemnation for human rights abuses against us. She's now the Shadow Cabinet Secretary, one of the leadership's most visible and prolific spokespeople. Labour is built to serve the same institutional purpose as the Guardian - to absorb and crush upsurges of progressivism and lend an air of bipartisanship to systemic bigotry.
