Heck yeah cockroach trucks Here I'm using my towing mirrors.  It's an 01 2WD with the 8.1L and Allison 1000. I've had it for 6 years and hauled all over the place with it. The only breakdowns I had were the fuel pump, and a couple weeks ago the (original as far as I can tell) alternator died after it got home from a 4hr road trip. A rebuilt alt shipped directly from AC Delco was under $100.

Granted the gooseneck horse trailer (and months of monsoons) helped, but still extremely  .I had plans of converting to 4wd, and even bought a rolled 4wd single cab 8.1/Allison 2500 with a manual xfer case, but  and eventually my buddy bought out my half of the wreck, put a new cab and flatbed on it and got it back on the road.
