Speaking of Dead Cells it lets you toggle unlockables from showing up now apparently which seems nice

NPCs that walk slower than default walking speed when you have to follow them.

Hardest difficulty being locked behind completing the game once.

Logic shattering gameplay for the purposes of puzzle solving.

Resident Evil's are really bad at this. In the remake of RE, if you have a full inventory and an empty gun. You can't pick up a clip because your inventory is full. Just put the clip in the loving gun

RE2 remake. When the upstairs section of the library collapses, you have to go on a huge detour to find a crank to move the bookcase as opposed to just hopping a small gap.

It totally breaks immersion

I don't mind key item backtracking. When it makes sense.

Just that particular example was pretty mind boggling.

It seemed that in the years between RE2 and RE4 Leon learned a key life skill of jumping

i would expect nothing less. in re4, leon is a battle-hardened special agent who has spent the past six years working and training with the us federal government. in re2 he is a clueless rookie arriving late to his first day of work. you must temper your expectations and judge him as a man just beginning the process of forging his own legend.
