So basically what was shown was just the tutorial. The first one should only have the ones unlocked in the first level but since we pushed it to midway through world 2 we are getting a new character which I will use co-op as an excuse to show off.

Honey is really good, especially against smashers and such. But my personal favorite is Ink cause it's prevents attacks entirely. Also ha ha no. Your options are a. Take it in the chun, b. Use a sentry which means you don't get a regular attack or c. You use your shield ability if you have one and hope to tank it.

After every co-op mission it kicks you out instead of letting you continue the campaign. So you have to go back in and re-select the campaign, and pick the next mission in it. So, yeah, those will be fun videos ha.

Escorting toad wouldn't be nearly so bad if he was actually allowed to do fun things. As it is, he can move a short distance and can't even bounce jump or anything. You don't get any enjoyment over controlling his actions so he's just an obnoxious addition rather than a fun challenge.

The ice block could be the actual escort target, and Toad is just a temporary party member carrying it, though anybody else can if he gets knocked out during the stage. The ice block has its own health bar and can be targeted by enemies, and also the character can make a melee attack that deals damage to both the enemy and the block. If the block's HP hits zero, Rabbid Mario dies from the Sub-Zero Freeze & Shatter effect and you fail the mission.

See all those are better than what we got. Even if Toad had just two more movement points it would be fine. As well the level design for them is terrible. Like the first one, having moved Toad as far as I could each turn, I ended up one space short. Why? Why make us play another turn essentially of just moving toad one single square? I will admit that if I hadn't enjoyed the rest of the game so much I woulda put it down at this point.

I think the idea there was to give you some wiggle room to put toad in cover so you didn't have to use his full movement towards the goal every turn. Except his movement is so crap it results in that obnoxious situation instead. The sad thing is that these aren't even the worst video game escpft quests(tm) that I've played through.
