Cheating at a raffle? I sentence you to 1 year in jail! No! Two years! Three! Four! Five years! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!
Somebody call for an ant?

In the background a pectoid grumbles as it adds another pair of plates to its bench.

This game was surprisingly good and I was really surprised by the reception it got. I'm kind of sad it preformed so badly because we won't get another when it's one of the few mario games that gets discounted by Nintendo with any regularity. And boy does it get big discounts all the time.

I can't say I've ever experienced it the way bunny sees it though. 2 tutorial fights in and this is already going special places.

That bad luck fire proc gave me flashbacks towards a specific level later in the game. It's kind of weird how they toned down the random in most places, but in some they shot it through the roof. You have the heavily simplified cover and tons of fixed damage and the variable stuff has a narrow range relative to the numbers on one hand, but on the other you have unreliable random effect procs and fire in particular can randomly hit your own guys harder than the enemy you proc it on.

Escorting toad wouldn't be nearly so bad if he was actually allowed to do fun things. As it is, he can move a short distance and can't even bounce jump or anything. You don't get any enjoyment over controlling his actions so he's just an obnoxious addition rather than a fun challenge.

I think the idea there was to give you some wiggle room to put toad in cover so you didn't have to use his full movement towards the goal every turn. Except his movement is so crap it results in that obnoxious situation instead.

The sad thing is that these aren't even the worst video game escpft quests(tm) that I've played through.

Yeah, I can see wanting to drop this game for a bit in response.

That sure was a difficult boss fight at the end there. I don't know how they expect you to pull that one off.

That first map is just painful to try and get the best rank when it appears. There's just so many of those dicks teleporting to flanking positions or dancing your guys out of position that it's easy for a guy to get dog piled like Luigi did.

All the movement options in this game are great. It feels really good to do poo poo like slingshotting Luigi across the map at the end.

I love how even sober post commentary went completely off the rails.

I remember this last boss being really rough. It's tough to manage all of the 5 billion minions when bowser moves first and soaks all your overwatch shots.

It's definitely still oozing with charm. It feels like a lot more of its own thing as opposed to a new take on xcom
