Specifically they're comparing it to the 90s ECW deal which may even be true but I think they're scared by stuff like Omega being able to shore up Impact's PPV numbers just by appearing.

There's a reason why Impact made sure to get Mauro to call Omega winning the belt. I can certainly buy it as part of Christian leaving, seeing as he's clearly capable of working and him doing a singles match with Orton or a tag with Edge against Orton and another heel (except wrestlers in WWE don't have friends) seemed like a no-brainer and they chose not to do it.

i do hope they get back to it and maybe even only focus on aew but i also can't blame them for falling out of it, especially if aew didn't sell them on sticking with it too hard

They did a couple of episodes not too long ago, and I wouldn't be shocked if they did one for DON. Adam in particular I know is just really down on the empty arena stuff, even with the wrestlers as plants.

I'd believe it. Danielson, whether Vince ever believed it or not, is a legit star on a level very few wrestlers manage. He's not quite a Cena or Rock, but him jumping ship would be very much like Bret Hart or Hall/Nash doing so, and would be a needle mover for either AEW or NJPW if they locked him down as an exclusive.

I do agree the VOW tweet is a bit of a bad look, but it's also very very silly for End to say that when SRS broke these releases first. And the 'Vince is a good guy' story just rings hollow when you've got someone like Mox who saw through it.

Is there any basis for the Shinsuke rumour? Like Keith Lee, I get, dude being yanked from TV screams of a guy they see zero value in (bafflingly) and Zayn's activism has been taunting Vince to dare to fire him for years now.

The old company line used to be that these indie guys need to learn to work in front of 'major crowds' but that fell apart when they signed guys like Balor and Nakamura who people pointed out regularly performed in front of crowds of 5 or 10 thousand, and sometimes in front of 30-40k in the Tokyo Dome. So then it was 'they need to learn to work to the camera, instead of the crowd', which is just as ludicrous and is also very, very disputable as to how much importance should be given to it.

And if you don't buy that, you're 'difficult' or 'arrogant' or 'unteachable'. Remember that WWE considered Chris Hero and Buddy Murphy bad workers who couldn't be taught. Seth too, and for all his flaws, dude is a better than average wrestler.

That's hilarious, considering A) These are professional writers, they've interacted with stars in theory, and B) It implies that no-one in the company is a big enough deal that anyone outside the business could possibly give a poo poo about them and yet they don't see that that's a problem.
