The Virtuosa has defeated all challengers to her title, and Tenille Dashwood has been added to the list of the fallen. The return of Taylor Wilde makes Purazzo's next challenger obvious.

Tenille and Deonna really exceeded my expectations - I didn't expect the pace of their match being what it was. Also Taylor coming in and reminding everyone that she rules:

I'm the target audience for those teasers, not gonna lie. So there's Joe, Chelsea, Okada, Naito, Muta (?), Mickie, Iconics (Aussie flag) and possibly Andrade with the Mexican flag?

It does seem like they're pushing Moose for it by having him interact a ton with Don Callis, but they could certainly save that for later.

Moose's contract is supposedly up in June so who knows what happens there.

I don't get the complaint about the Iron Man match being on BTI tbh - it gives the regular show space to run the rest of the storylines and highlights BTI as "hey, sometimes cool stuff happens here, check this poo poo out" with a high caliber match. Both Alexander and TJP should be more than able to make it a legit good match-up - even though I couldn't care less about TJP, Josh is great and I'll watch him throw Perkins around for an hour.

Oh right, she also ate the pin in a tag match for no reason last night.

edit: and she was in a 10-person tag ffs.

Both the match and her eating the pin made sense. Both sides are interacting on the reg both as friends / partners (or annoyances in case of Dashwood) and as opponents. Susan's botched shoe throw annoyed Tasha and Kiera enough to get into a brawl with Susan and Kimber, leaving Deonna wide open. Rosemary's been quite open about wanting an opportunity at the title so her pinning Purrazzo sets that up.

The Ironman Match happens tonight (BTI should be streaming on Twitch too, as well as on Youtube). In other Impact news:

FORMER WWE PERFORMER TO DEBUT TONIGHT AND MORE IMPACT NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2021-06-03 13:50:00

Impact Wrestling sources have indicated that a former WWE talent will make his debut tonight in a vignette. We are told it's a talent who "never really got a fair chance" during his time in WWE.

There is slated to be an announcement soon about Impact Wrestling trading cards being released.

In order to accomodate the entire match tonight, the X-Division Iron Man match between Josh Alexander and TJP will begin on BTI and then the final minutes will open tonight's Impact on AXS, so if you wish to see the entire match, which we are told is awesome, make sure you watch or DVR BTI as well as Impact. We are told that the idea behind the match was to elevate the X-Division title in a major way going forward with one person comparing to when Rob Van Dam held the ECW TV title and that was seen as important as the ECW World title.

Next week's Impact in 60 will feature Doc Gallows.

I hope Fire n Flava get more exposure and escape the Impact bubble since they're one of the few actual women's tag-team acts in the US scene, especially if there's a chance that Kierra can get booked with her girlfriend Diamante after Ivelisse hosed their chances up in AEW

Considering the other active (lol) women tag division is in WWE I hope they hang around Impact for a while longer.

Eddie's a crowd favorite for sure and it wasn't a total squash - plus they've been building Morrissey up so this wasn't unexpected.

Who will be the next to challenge Kenny for the title, now that the Sami threat has been neutralized? Josh Alexander invoking option C? Jordynne Grace? Coconono mentioned Chris Sabin on discord yesterday, which could also be an interesting twist?

I watched a few Impact shows with no crowds and they were really hard to get through. They definitely did the worst in that regard.

This show was better with a crowd but I still think Striker and the very bad camera work will keep me from watching Impact regularly. There were SO many missed shots, and not because they cut to a bad angle but because the camera people just don't know what to shoot and when.

Not a bad show overall, though, and Thunder Rosa loving ruled.

At least we didn't get Matthews.

I wonder how much of the camera gently caress-ups was due to them having less space to work with - that Skyway Studios stage is pretty small. But it's not like they had the greatest camera work to begin with.

And yeah, Thunder Rosa showing up was sick.
