So got a bit of a weird one. House in my neighbourbood that I pass when I walk had a lot of dog barking one day, sounded like puppies. Noticed a very red faced angry woman yelling into the garage "shyaaarrrDAAAAP" where the barking was coming from. She was a cop! Though ok thats a bit weird. Maybe something going down. Police canine unit car turned up later when I walked back. Was like oh wow maybe they are rescuing doggies. Hah. Car is now there every day with police canine unit on our. Its loving cold here so The garage can't be nice. Noticed yesterday when I walked past out in the driveway was a roughly 1m by 1m cage. No dogs in it but the bottom literally caked in dog poo poo. So I'm fairly sure there's some pretty lovely animal abuse going on here. If they're breeding police dogs that's quite... Something. They get no benefit of the doubt because ACAB. I looked on the rscpa site where you can report potential abuse and they basically say, look, it's covid, don't ring us unless you see someone literally mutilating an animal, everything is on fire. I want a left wing government, not a poo poo neoliberal excuse for a party that will do nothing useful and fall on its arse making the next election after they win go even more rightward. Accelerationism is bad, I know but I genuinely don't see any way to swing the pendulum left by bowing down to Starmer's lot so why do it? Burn labour to the ground and rebuild it after everyone wanting cushy careers in sensible opposition is set afloat on an iceberg.

So as the left what do we do from here? It's not like we're all going to rejoin labour to try to fight for a left wing candidate to take over their shitshow. The only way out is another party backed by the socialist lot from labour and that's... just not going to happen? Be bloody funny if corbs split off into another party for this and had a party in nandos though.

Just got my Pfizer yesterday at 38. Had a text a week back that looked like spam from "Clover group" turned out to be a local primary care Trust. My arm really loving hurts. Like goddamn. Then just now I got a text from the NHS saying I can now get my AZ jab. One in each arm. Two very sore arms or immortality?

He writes and talks exactly like a boss I once had who was a tech ceo that made millions doing cellular encryption and sunk it all into game development. He would come up with wild ideas like trying to convince blizzard to let us use their assets and wrote long screeds on how to fix issues on twitter just like that. He was often right, but came off as so abrasive and in your face that only other people of the same type would give him the time of day. Which was entirely enough to get shitloads of investment and advancement. I do wonder if I've been doing it all wrong these years by mostly keeping my opinions firmly to myself other than the occasional bit of chatter on here.

It's always been impressive to me that to have power in this world you have to focus your efforts and abilities on the pursuit of power rather than the gaining of knowledge or understanding. Sure there's a limit, you can't be expected to be an expert in every field, but it feels like you should be an expert in *something* just so you have an understanding of the limitations of knowledge and don't just Dunning Kruger your way to the top. As a leader you should surround yourselves with smart people each with their own specialisations and then lean into their knowledge and use it to form your policies and opinions. Instead the only way to get into one of those "smart expert" fields is to be a specialist in politicking of the right clubs you got sent to as a kid. All the while the system is set up to look like it's actually functional and doing what I just said to the casual observer. Instead of a bunch of bastards trying to out bastards each other for another slice of the poo poo pie.
