Is the goon who had a camera set up on their bird feeder still around? I want to set something similar up for my parents and I was wondering if they'd ever detailed their setup!

I'm not that goon, but I set up a bird feeder cam using an Raspberry Pi Zero W, a 10,000mah USB battery (runs the setup for about 15 hours between charges) and a USB Webcam, running MotionEye OS.

It was basically a case of flashing a micro SD card, putting my wifi details in the config and then connecting to it in a webbrowser from my phone to turn on the motion detection and view the images.

Tesco vegan jam donuts taste identical to the regular ones and don't go stale for at least three days (and counting!). Absolute game changer.

When even vote in the locals if it's not for an incredibly niche local interest group that's probably made up of wrong'uns but there's really no way of knowing?

Rosie Duffield is an awful person but... that probably is her genuine experience. If you hated Corbyn and knew a Labour MP also hated Corbyn, and you saw them, you probably would go up to them and say "Eyy I'm glad Corbyn's gone!". Doesn't mean it's representative of the whole population though as there's obviously self-selection going on.

Furthermore, by "spending all day posting poo poo about Corbyn being gone" OP actually means one single tweet about it.

AZ is still something like 70% of the vaccine supply so this feels like just an excuse for further delays as we hit the second doses for where first dose rates hit their peak.

I mean you literally cut out the second tweet where they say they don't expect it to delay the vaccine program.

gently caress it, get Blair back. They're not gonna win anyway and seeing him get his electoral poo poo shoved in would be cathartic.

what actually happens if you go into a polling station and just march in and start doing lots of votes?

like presumably they call the fuzz and you're charged with an offence but what happens to the votes in the place? do they have to void them all

Votes aren't anonymous - there's a unique I'd on them that corresponds with the list they cross your name off of, so I assume if necessary they could just cross reference those.

I made Seitan... and it was good.

Used the washed flour method: flour + water = big ball of dough, i let it soak for 18 hours then rinsed all the starch out(i'm not so good at making pancakes out of the starch as it acts like cornflour).

This following bit is all to give it texture & flavour so you can skip this involved bit if you want to:
Kneaded it then stretched it out, cut into cubes, mixed in herbs & spices i had about then kneaded it again, cut into strips and braided it together and soaked again for 2 hours followed by a final stretch and tying it into a lot of knots and forming it into a tight ball.

Simmer for 90minutes in stock of your choice and let rest over night to toughen up.

Eat as is or flour & shallow fry for something nice.

I'm not even vegetarian/vegan.

The videos of this look really good, but it sounds/looks like so much work

This is gonna be hilarious when no real network/service wants to buy it and it ends up on britbox or discovery+

Maybe channel 5 can use it as a lead in to their whole block of poverty-porn.

General "Tories want the land to build houses on" shenanigans aside, isn't there a strategic geopolitical reason for a country maintaining their own food supply in case their trade partners either decide to cut us off or are unable to meet supply for one of a multitude of potential reasons?
