I had the AZ shot, about 24h of fever and muscle pain with some nausea, but overall not terrible. I'm also 39F and haven't keeled over from clots (yet). Looking forward to not being so paranoid in about a week, which is when my babby immunity will be established.

Still gonna mask up and distance for a good while.

I go today to get my second shot, had AZ for first and this one will be a Pfizer or Moderna

The clinic I am going to accepts walk ins so I'm hoping my partner can get his second one too

looking forward to being fully vaxxed so I can go to a gym in the middle of the day and prevent my rear end from spreading over yet another zip code, I was up to 5 miles every other day before loving roni shat all over life

(before anyone gets cute and says go walk outside, I can't force myself to do that but an elliptical for some reason is great, and there's no room in our tiny apartment or else I'd have bought one)

Light headed after injection for a couple hours, and at 5 hours nasty headache, arm is fine but that's because I have nerve damage at the injection site from a prior injury

Serious post: have any of the women in here, who hadnt gotten covid prior to first Pfizer shot, had side effects with the first shot? My partner finally got her first dose yesterday and had more side effects than I did (male). My second shot had far more side effects than my first, being only slightly warm and tired for my first, but she seemed to get the whole gamut of chills, excessive sweating but also really cold, felt like absolute poo poo, intestinal distress, etc. Doing some light reading its possible that she just drew the short stick with side effects, but also possible she might have gotten symptomless covid sometime in the past as well and her body is treating this as the second dose(figuratively)?

Hi! Goonette reporting in! My first jab was AZ and I had sweats, chills, full body aches, and extreme exhaustion, ~18hr. Second jab was Moderna and I got lightheaded and tired but no fever. My partner is male and had nothing with his first Pfizer but arm soreness and the second Pfizer was some lightheaded and exhaustion for like, 3hr. I'm 40 and he's 32, for reference.

What happened to all the "DoNt yOu TruST TEH SCienCe?" guys from May?

There's no drive-through or outdoor vaccination places of any kind in my county. Most of them still demand you sit inside, surrounded by unmasked anti-vaxxers, for 15 minutes. We're doing a really great job protecting the immune-compromised.

Can you call a CVS or whatever's close, speak to the pharmacist and let them know you are immunosuppressed, and can they come outside and pop you in the arm and have you wait your 15 in the car?

Got Moderna for the second and I just got hella lightheaded, headache and tired, but not nearly the fever and chills of the AZ. Yay, BC is doing a vaccine passport!

News Article posted:

The new vaccine card will be available online for use on a smart phone, but for those who can't access proof of vaccination digitally, the province says a "secure alternative option" will be available. Horgan said efforts are underway to make sure the cards can't be forged or hacked.

The full list of activities covered by the new rules includes:

indoor ticketed sporting events
indoor concerts
indoor theatre/dance/symphony events
restaurants (indoor and patio dining)
night clubs
casinos
movie theatres
fitness centres/gyms (excluding youth recreational sport)
businesses offering indoor high-intensity group exercise activities
organized indoor events (e.g., weddings, parties, conferences, meetings, workshops)
discretionary organized indoor group recreational classes and activities
student housing on college and university campuses

The cards will not be required at grocery stores and other retail settings, where Henry said there haven't been high levels of transmission. They also won't be necessary to enter a place of worship.

Henry said there will be an exemption for children under the age of 12, but not for people who are unable to receive the vaccine for health or religious reasons.

Last week, TMC adopted the RTW contingency guidance; which states that an employee with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection may return to work if they are fever free for 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medicine, they have symptom improvement and a minimum of 5 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.

Once back at work, employees will need to be diligent about wearing their face mask, perform frequent hand hygiene, and socially distance as available for an additional 5 days. We will not require a negative test to return to work. There are no work restrictions for employees that have been exposed but have no symptoms.

I resigned from there because my boss was keen on having me train people sitting next to them, refused to ask the employee who was around small children frequently to not open mouth cough, and two weeks after I left someone popped hot in the office. I warned all my Tucson friends about this.
