Sammy giving up thinking MJF wouldn't throw him though was just stupid. Anyone could have predicted what would happen.

That's what knocks down the whole ending.

sammy was just desperately trying to save his friend imo. we all knew mjf was gonna toss jericho anyway, but it was still a great bastard mjf move and sammy didn't have much of a choice other than watch him get murdered

And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
Like we have Sammy surrendering to save his friend that all makes sense, but logic in me is asking what the hell was happening in the cage with the rest of them and the rest of the pinnacle while Jericho and MJF were on top. Were The Pinnacle just refusing to give up as mighty babyfaces? Were the inner circle just not doing anything? There's a weird disconnect here that started when The Inner Circle just had everyone in The Pinnacle beaten and in their own blood.

I was looking forward to each member of the team surrendering/submitting and whittling each team down, that would have been cool. Instead FTR were basically forgotten about and the match just... ended in a fart in my opinion

I mean the inner circle aren’t exactly white meat babyfaces, and the pinnacle aren’t exactly cowardly heels. They’re cheaters rather than quitters. I think the dynamic there was fine. The inner circle were beating the hell out of the pinnacle but couldn’t get them to quit. I assume that will come up again.

Santana and Ortiz kept looking up while Jericho was in a submission and neither guy was like "hey maybe we should help"

The rest of the Pinnacle was down, so it doesn't make sense for someone to go up there at that time instead of just watching.

Also yeah as I mentioned a match like that doesn't go well with commercials as there aren't a lot of down moments booked into something like that.

I think it can be argued that as many folks on these forums have some issues with suspending belief. I'm not talking about the critiques on how to make it look better. I'm talking about the ones who are saying the match was just straight up bad or the ending ruined a good match. That's hyperbole.
