Match Overview

Chocopro's greatest feud begins to reach a boil. Over the past year, Chris Brookes and Lulu Pencil have been a thorn in each other's side producing some of ChocoPro's best matches. ChocoPro's fighting spirit-filled wrestler Lulu Pencil has never won a singles match nor has she managed to pin anyone. Chris Brookes wants Lulu to have a winner's mentality and he'll become the villain she needs to do it. Brookes now argues that by joining the Pencil Army, Lulu's faction with ChocoPro, the legendary Emi Sakura, promoter and trainer of Gatoh Move, and Minoru Fujita, 2020 Japanese Independent Wrestler of Year, have become reduced to dungaree wearing jokes like Lulu herself. In response, he's assembled a world-class team of opponents including himself, ChocoPro's resident hoss and Chris Brooke's regular ChocoPro tag-team partner, Yuna Mizumori (Yunamon), and the rapidly rising star "the 1st genderless wrestler" Asuka/VENY who has racked up a number of MOTYCs at DDT, at Hana Kimura Matane, and in AEW's Women's Tournament.

Record of the Pencil War: The Story So Far

War is upon us once again. This is a Special One Match Episode, featuring one of the longest running sagas in ChocoPro: The Story of Lulupencil. She has overcome many trials and tribulations, having grown from a weak wrestler who would tap out to her own submissions, into a passionate leader who "never gives up"! She lost and regained her hat, built herself a real army, and inspired many fans around the globe. However, as much as this is a story of Lulu, it is also a story of Chris Brookes. The tall & charismatic (but generally wicked) frequent guest has been a part of the colorful tapestry of ChocoPro for most of its lifespan. Though he usually presents himself as a ruffian that cares little for the joy and chaos that Ichigaya brings, Chris could not truly overcome Lulu. This has eaten away at the treacherous "calamari" and led to him temporarily following Lulu. After all, she saw in him potential. Hope. A bigger destiny, along side the Pencil Army. Despite everything he had done to her. While it was glorious while it lasted, Chris could not handle the Unit's inability to win matches (as a Unit that is, each member has scored victories in other combinations) abandoned (then turned on) his allies after a particularly devastating loss.

It was declared that Pencil Army would prove itself against the villain, but the new War was postponed due to the injury of Drew Parker (An ally of the Betrayer who has yet to debut in Ichigaya). Instead, another rising star that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty will be coming in his place. VENY! (ASUKA for the Japanese fans) Chris and VENY will be joined with long time Brookes cohort Yunamon...the Tropical Idol showing a crueler side whenever inspired by the Betrayer. How will these two shift the battle to come?

Lulupencil is the Leader of the Pencil Army. She might not be the strongest, fastest, or smartest wrestler out there but she makes up for it with heart and a never say die spirit. She has been through a lot, gained in experience and tactics. Improving every single day. This Journalist and Hero is a true �good guy� in a world full of evil and grey areas. A beacon of determination. What is it about her that draws the powerful to her? How can she be so unbreakable? There is something deep inside Lulu that we should all strive for. She will do her best to show it in this battle. Expect innovative offense that plays to her style, a true spectacle in the wrestling world.

Emi Sakura is a living legend of the Joshi scene, the Queen of ChocoPro, and the Master of Gatoh Move. She has trained legions of amazing wrestlers, developed a unique flashy style, and has managed to always carve her own path. Her list of accomplishments is long...and having trained Lulu is one of them. She believes in Lulu, who might be the weakest of the Fourth Generation Rookies...but has a hidden potential that the Oni can see. Her chops might be the main thing she is known for (outside of her love of QUEEN, of course) but Emi's bag of tricks is deep and vast. Expect brutal offense that seems to come out of nowhere, as well as bursts of speed and strategy that make it seem like she can predict the future!

Minoru Fujita is another monster under the sway of Lulu, a Deathmatch, Tag, and Singles expert with a long list of accolades of his own. He arrives draped in gold each time, carrying with him a multitude of scars (and weapons) gained from a stories career of violence. Fujita bears the top belt of ChocoPro, the Super Asia Championship, and is proud that he is our bloody champion once again. His endless endurance and ungodly power bested the Ace of ChocoPro for that belt, you know. Mino Pencil was created after a brutal Deathmatch against Lulu, where they inflicted a variety of painful maneuvers on one another! Expect him to be the undying killing machine that he always is. Not enough people talk about Fujita.

Chris Brookes is the reigning Extreme & Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion of DDT. He is the tag partner of Masa Takanashi in the Calamari Drunken Kings, and he just finished a brilliant run with ChocoPro veteran Antonio Honda in DDT's Ultimate Tag League. Also, he's a rotten bastard! This towering submission specialist is willing to do anything to win. Chris is known for his underhanded tactics, his tsundere personality, and his overall technical prowess. He might be unpleasant, but Brookes is definitely one of the best out there right now. The Betrayer hopes to defeat Pencil Army in some misbegotten quest to prove they are a joke. But what he lacks isn't some moral victory, but a true purpose, he just can't see it! Something he cast aside... Expect shockingly explosive attacks, a dangerous demeanor, and probably a crop top if we're being honest.

Yuna "Yunamon" Mizumori is the Tropical Idol of ChocoPro, and therefore, the world. While she usually brings a sing song, vibrant charisma and a magnetic presence...this time will probably be a little different. Yunamon has become rotten before, and she can do it again! Only on this occasion she will be opposed to Fujita, which might lead to some tension...Yunamon is a fantastic Powerhouse with a pace that you will find yourself swept up in. The way she rampages in the Chocolate Square is hard to not enjoy! Did you know Chris even referenced her style in his match against Shunma Katsumata? Even if she's on the wrong side of the field right now, Yunamon has a bright future ahead of her. A tropical one! Expect a lot of lariats, spin kicks, and amazing feats of strength and speed. Tropical Yahho!

Last but certainly not least, we get to VENY (ASUKA). An incredibly charismatic and impressive returning guest, VENY most recently had quite a showing at the Hana Kimura Memorial Show (Please watch this if you haven't, she is one of the major reasons you're seeing these write-ups. Thank you, Hana.) and is a major rising star of the Joshi scene overall. The Genderless Wrestler is basically a perfect all arounder! How can they do everything so precisely? Strikes, slams, Moonsaults, everything! VENY tends to have a strong showing each time they arrive at ChocoPro, fitting in (as they do everywhere) and making it clear how tremendously talented they truly are. While they tend to be more neutral than good or evil, they do have some unfinished business with Emi Sakura that will need to be addressed. I hope they bring the SEAdLINNNG Beyond the Sea Championship! Come to think of it, there are a lot of Champions in this match...I can't wait to see VENY do those pinpoint kicks! Expect just that, as well as a myriad of other technical mastery and breath taking abilities. VENY really is the future.

Will this be the end of the Pencil War, or just another in the long line of battles? Will Lulu finally bring down the villain, or will the Pencil Army be waiting for their "Next Time" once again...The most important part is that all four members of the Pencil Army show up!

This weekday ChocoPro show is a one-match event, and despite only featuring one match, it�s fair to say that the participants involved will deliver. Whenever Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling holds a one-match show, said participants go all out, proving themselves within the confines of Ichigaya Chocolate Square and elsewhere. Furthermore, this particular show will serve as another chapter in a long-standing feud. Without any further delay, here is the action set for ChocoPro #120.

Pencil Army (Lulu Pencil, Emi Sakura, and Minoru Fujita) vs. Chris Brookes, Yuna Mizumori, and VENY

Piiiiii, Pi! Pi, Pi, Pi! In action, on ChocoPro #120, will be the three-member unit of Pencil Army. Led by Lulu Pencil, the commanding officer of the group in question, Emi Sakura and Minoru Fujita have been nothing short of supportive of their leader. Despite the group coming up short in tag team encounters, �Emi Pencil� and �Mino Pencil� have stuck by her side, believing that there would eventually be a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. The same cannot be said, however, for their former teammate.

On ChocoPro #110, Chris Brookes, also known as �Chris Pencil� during this time, fought alongside his Pencil Army allies in a losing effort. Post-match, Brookes verbally lashed out at Lulu Pencil, announcing his departure from the group. This left a downtrodden Lulu Pencil behind, as she believed she lost a friend. From there, Brookes returned to his more nefarious ways in ChocoPro. Most recently, he battled Sakura on ChocoPro #115. This encounter devolved into chaos, resulting in Brookes storming out of Ichigaya Chocolate Square, the match in question being declared a no contest.

ChocoPro #120 will see Brookes reunite with Yuna Mizumori, reforming the unit known as TropiCalamari. �Yunamon�s� last ChocoPro appearance took place on episode #117, where she teamed with Tokiko Kirihara in a losing effort to the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, Best Bros. Needless to say, Mizumori is looking to get back to her winning ways. Given the caliber of partner that Brookes and Mizumori will have, for this six-person tag team match, this may very well be a possibility.

Teaming with TropiCalamari will be VENY, also known as ASUKA to international fans. Known as �Japan�s first genderless wrestler,� VENY has taken the international wrestling scene by storm in recent years. American wrestling fans may know them best for their involvement in the AEW Women�s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, which took place earlier this year. Despite losing to Emi Sakura in the first round, VENY had a solid showing. It�s also worth noting that VENY the current SEAdLINNNG Beyond the Sea Champion, effectively making them the top star in the joshi promotion. Can VENY, who is no stranger to ChocoPro in their own right, make their return a win against the steadfast Pencil Army?
