I was reading a thing about Yanks in Australia during WW2; and how, unlike when the Americans were in the UK wining and dining the British ladies while the majority of eligible young British men were off fighting in Europe, in Australia most of the Aussie soldiers and sailors got recalled back because they were needed to defend Oz from potential attack by the Japanese. So you had the hard-bitten Aussie troops getting mad because the flash Yank soldiers were "overpaid, oversexed, and over here" and stealing their women, to the point that actual riots broke out over it. Glad to see our special relationship has endured.

After Dunkirk there was no European front until D-Day, which the American and British troops did together, except for the German/Soviet front. There was the North African front though, which the British were fighting in alongside many Commonwealth troops including the Aussies, and were eventually joined by the Americans, which eventually led to the invasion of Italy and the downfall of Mussolini. I think I might have mixed my timelines up there in regards to Europe.

I mean the thumbnail for the YouTube video alone there looks like something out of a horror movie. Has there ever been an Australian horror movie about a murderous kangaroo?
