I hope that Stadium Stampede remains a partial cinematic match. Works so well for the style.

Literally every match on the card aside of "I've done the work" Cody was so much fun. I can't think of the last PPV I've had had as good of a time watching as this. AEW owns.

Even that match was better than it should have been because Ogogo is on match #3 of his career and injured his ribs.

Question: Do you think AEW 'goes home' to Daily's Place for DoN next year?

They really didn't. I love them, they're my favorite tag team, they put on another 5+* match tonight but I'm also incredibly sick of them and the tag titles revolving around them. I couldn't get into the 3 way because I was already sick of being antagonized by the Elite from back in the tag match.

They had a big heel turn and joined up with Don Callis, and it doesn't look good to drop the belts in their first PPV match immediately after that.

Personally I think the real consideration is "tag teams are better than two solos we randomly paired up", ala the WWE formula of finding something for guys not in the main event picture to do.

The best part of this was getting to see everyone get to enjoy the big crowd pops they've been denied for the last year. Serena was loving it and Eddie got the god pops he's deserved for so long and Hangman's still so over and Jungle Boy is the future and Shida got the thank you she earned and Britt got her crowning moment and Platinum Max proved he's something special and Sammy stepped up as a star and it was all so sweet. The atmosphere backstage must be insane right now :3:

They went from being conflicted face champions to following the lead of an rear end in a top hat, acting like a couple of 12 year olds and loving around. Them loving around and finding out would have been a fine look.

especially tag teams who have been together for 15 years and are supposed to be one of the most cohesive teams in wrestling

when the Bucks lose it should be to another established team like Lucha Bros or P&P imo

mox and eddie are friends for a long time with history outside of and inside of AEW. like them tagging is a culmination of a story since eddie challenged mox they arent really randoms. like if it was mox and christian or something yeah but eddie and mox are a valid tag team

I've been a "wrestling fan" since like 2015 and have "paid" for two PPVs in that time, this AEW show and the last.

(I had a WWE Network account for a few years, but cancelled ages ago and $10 a month for network access ain't buying the PPV)

Look at all of the wrestlers on the card. Then look at the fact that the last two people in the ring for the night were Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara. And then look at the fact that it was the best possible ending of the entire show.

That is everything that AEW does better than WWE in a single moment.

Absolutely. This is a promotion that cares about having a future and used so many people well. Even the little touches like the Kazarian thing during the tag match.

Also, I really liked seeing who the crowd loved! I wasn't sure if Hangman was still going to be mega-over. Good to see he was. It feels like people absolutely love hating Britt, and also cheering her.
