Blessed day everyone. This is a thread for the discussion of magical things like divination with tarot cards or casting magic spells or even psionic powers! Also feel free to discuss materialist vs idealist philosophy, I'm sure there are lots of materialists in this subforum  I personally have more of an interest in historical esoteric practices so I'll post a bunch of resources for that stuff, but I would encourage anyone with more info on more contemporary magical practices and communities to post about that too! My brother told me a story about a guy who was convinced he was a druid and, while trying to prove it, had my brother hold out his hand while the Not Druid hovered his own over them and asked "do you feel that coldness," and when my brother said no he had a semi meltdown and stormed off When I finally met the guy a year later he was rocking a fedora and had jnco jeans and was wearing some kind of medieval looking gauntlet on one hand like it was completely normal

if u think about it, the stock market is kind of like an esoteric tradition meets cargo cult. the only thing keeping it alive is the fact that people still believe in it, stock traders have their own weird little rituals or ways of interaction (a bloomberg terminal? what even is that?) that they believe gives them powers over this eldritch thing and like all good magic traditions, the few get rich over the backs of the many.
