Google completely sucks now, Facebook no longer seems to have the option to let me just see stuff in chronological order, it feels like Reddit absorbed half the internet, and today Twitter and Wikipedia decided they won't let me even browse their sites with Adblock and Ghostery running. Did all the poo poo people said would happen begin to quietly happen?

afaict they're still doing the kayfabe where they don't egregiously gently caress people over, in order to "prove" net neutrality proponents "wrong" and then once nobody cares anymore and there's no chance the fcc will reinstate the old rules, they egregiously gently caress people over - probably things will get worse over time so fewer people notice

yesterday i posted a song title in a thread and when spotify rolled over to the next track, it was that song, and i'm 99% sure that it's related but i don't see how i just assume everything i do online now is being hurled into some algorithm to be vomited back into my face to make me feel like i'm living in the future because that's cheaper than innovating anything useful

I'm on satellite internet and it's mostly terribly slow, BUT Reddit and YouTube and Facebook and Instagram all work great. Seems suspicious. I'm also pretty sure they throttle the hell out of porn sites. I haven't been able to watch porn since last year. It's been rough.
