I remember feeling very cringey about it the first time they showed up on dynamite with the world’s weakest rap introducing themselves backstage but holy poo poo did they ever turn it around. Another AEW success story.

JR actively wants to be at the thin end of things and it seems like it’s the main reason he even signed with the company since his biggest beef with WWE was “I didn’t want to be stuck in an office to rot”. He’s fine, it’s live TV and sometimes poo poo happens.

I (white, not American) grew a lovely beard after I started shaving my head a few years ago because being both bald and beardless only works on the narrowest of narrow subsets of guys. You have to have at least one or the other.

Isn’t the other 50% of Maki Itoh’s gimmick that isn’t “sings and dances her way to the ring” pretty much “I don’t get no respect” and so it’s only natural she’d be complaining about not getting a deal from anyone whether she wants one or not.
