I'd say for the wiring the best idea get a whole Painless kit and rewire it all. There's so many issues with cars and AGC glass fuses (or whatever this uses) and positive ground 6 volt systems (this may be some/all) that just don't make sense in any sort of electrical fire prevention. 6V regulators shouldn't be an issue, and even a car that age has had the conversion performed enough that you should be able to figure out any special parts. Hell, with 3D printing what it is, you could even retrofit modern bulb housings. I really don't recommend running 12V and 1157 type bulbs in the old 6V housings, the generated heat will make short lives of any surviving lens.
